@@ydcee3123I’m 71 and in defense of the gentleman above, it really doesn’t matter that he was in his 30’s. So was I. There are songs that really leave an impression on you because of perhaps personal reasons. This one hit me hard. We all have songs that feel like we’ve been hearing them forever. I grew up on this one as much as those in the late 60’s and 70’s.

Jiinx, you have awesome parents! 👍I grew up in the 80's and remember vividly watching Quarter Flash in 1982 on Solid Gold (a music TV program back in the day). The song was a huge success on the radio. If you haven't, then you might like some of Ozzy Osbourne's early 80's albums like, Bark at the Moon from 1984, Speak of the Devil, Blizzard of Oz. Iron Maiden is another awesome band and so is Megadeth. I listened to those mainly on cassette tapes since that's all we had before the internet era. We had CD's too, but not your average kid back then could afford them. It's awesome that your loving the music we experienced and loved dearly! I was never much into alternative music in the 1990's since it didn't appeal to me. I was a metal head, and my tastes are geared around the early Goth bands nowadays like Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Midnight Syndicate, who are from the latter 90's era. 🦇🙂

My girlfriend and I were at what was then called "Great America Amusement Park" in Santa Clara, Ca. Quarterflash played a concert there in June '83. We saw them play. Awesome performance! After the concert we went to go on the scarier rides there. We were in front of the line for one called "The Edge". There was a buzz in the crowd waiting to go on the ride. All of a sudden 5 members of Quarterflash appeared coming towards the front with park security helping them. They came and stood right in front of us and waited for a few minutes while the ride dropped 100ft. in a few secs. My GF and I chatted with Rindy and Marv a few minutes about that they were excited but a bit hesitant going on the ride. Very cool moment in my life.

Cryin' on the corner, waitin' in the rain I swear I'll never, ever wait again You gave me your word but words for you are lies Darlin' in my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd go But it's time to let you know, oh I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears I'm gonna turn and leave you here All of my life I've been waitin' in the rain I've been waiting for a feeling that never, ever came It feels so close, but always disappears Darlin', in your wildest dreams, you never had a clue But it's time you got the news I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears I'm gonna turn and leave you here Darlin' in my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd go But it's time to let you know, oh I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears I'm gonna turn and leave you here I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears Harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears No, oh, oh, oh Harden my heart I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears I'm gonna harden my heart I'm gonna swallow my tears Harden my heart, harden my heart Swallow my tears I'm gonna harden my heart
