The Choose Your Fate option always stuck with me on the DVD release.. and once the age of smartphones really hit, it always got me thinking. Imagine if there was a horror movie where, in the theater, in real time, the movie stops for a total of 45 seconds. 15 to present a choice for the audience, 30 to decide. Everyone would be given a website to go to, enter in a unique code to get in (Jack Box Party Pack style), and everyone gets to vote on what happens. Granted it would be a massive undertaking (teehee) for the studio, as in order to make it actually worth while (and even prompt people to go back and see if they can view an entirely different outcome), they would need to basically film 3 or 4 versions of the same film. But damn if that doesn't sound like the greatest one and done gimmick ever.

From the DVD bonus features if no one has answered this, they rode the roller coaster multiple times to get all onboard shots. They rode it over and over until the sun came up. However, they did use a little CGI to make the ride look taller and more suspenseful.

So far, I can tell that Death in Final Destination follows 6 rules: Rule #1: Death kills people in the order they would’ve died in the premonitions Rule #2: If you save someone’s life, Death will skip to the next person in the kill order Rule #3: Death leaves clues to the survivors to figure out how they are going to die Rule #4: Death will not allow you to kill yourself and you can’t die until it’s your turn Rule #5: You can only escape Death’s design by creating a new life Rule #6: The last picture you take of someone before they die has a clue in it of what will cause their death There is also a seventh rule, but this one only comes into play in the fifth movie, so it’s one hell of a spoiler. By the way, you can pretty much skip the 4th movie since it doesn’t actually add anything to the lore of Final Destination. And frankly, the fourth movie is pretty “meh” anyway. It’s not nearly as bad as people say it is. The deaths are some of the goriest in the series, the intro scene is arguably the best one the franchise had so far (and NO, I’m not talking about the disaster) and it actually added a pretty interesting twist to it. But it’s definitely not a must-watch, even for Final Destination fans. The story and the characters are pretty generic. The fear and tension towards literally every object in a 50 miles radius that came when a character was about to die from the previous movies is not present whatsoever in the fourth movie. And like I said, the fourth movie doesn’t actually add anything to the lore. You should DEFINITELY watch the fifth movie though. In my opinion, it’s the second best movie in the series (first one being FD2) Also, sorry for the absurdly long comment

Tanning bed is absolute worst death in any of the movies by far. Most of the others, while brutal, are quick and practically painless because the death is just instant. But being slowly cooked alive, while being *trapped* in such a tight, claustrophobic space, basically combines being buried alive and being burned alive. Not only is it slow and excruciatingly painful but its also terrifying, especially for a claustrophobe like me.
