Got my Rio LX+ in 2021 in still gray and absolutely love it. It's an amazing car. Comfy, fun to drive in the city and on the roads, easy to park, good engine, saves on gas, excellent view outside, all features work perfectly well and audio system is fairly good for the price of the car.

Great video, very informative! I think the Rio is a good car for people that can’t afford a $40-50,000 dollar car these days. If the brands eliminate all their entry level cars will put people out of the market, especially young people, not cool. Kia Canada, keep the Rio!! ❤

I'm so sad I just came across this video in January 2023. This is almost the EXACT configuration I'd ordered from a London dealership back in May although that was a 2022 model. I'd requested either a White or Light Silver (as in this video) EX Premium Rio to replace our gorgeous 2021 Hyundai Sonata Ultimate Hybrid. That Sonata is a marvelous and extremely fuel efficient car BUT is rarely driven since we acquired our 2022 Kia Niro SX Touring PHEV. My wife and I absolutely LOVE this fully loaded Kia Niro. Since the Sonata is now parked most of the time, I was looking for a simple "Run-about" for those times when we still need two vehicles. The Kia Rio EX Premium fits that bill easily and I must admit I was pretty stunned by it's refinement on my test drive of a Rio LX demo unit. It has now been 8 months since I negotiated a trade but alas, NO light silver or white Rio EX Premiums have made it to the London dealership's allocation yet. Only a couple Black units and a Dark Grey, and a Blue one have arrived here. Arghh! I'm actually bummed out about a couple alterations to the 2023 EX Premium Rio from the 2022 model, i.e. the move from 15" to 17" wheels (more expensive tires and a harsher ride) along with the move to Rear Disc Brakes which I see as a disadvantage in Canada's salt laden winter driving conditions that cause rear brakes to corrode away long before they wear out. When I'd evaluated the Rio EX Premium back in May 2022 I was exalted to find No Turbo, No Direct Injection, 15" tires, and rear drum brakes. Absolute simplicity! Perfect for what my needs were/are. That being said, I'll still accept the 2023 version When/IF it arrives before this amazing little machine disappears from the market permanently.

We have a 2018 Kia Rio sedan and I love it it drives very smooth and is great on gas I’m sad that when I can get my own car I can’t get a rio anymore but the next best one I want is the Kia soul

I just bought a kia rio lx+ 2023! My first choice would ave been a hyundai accent of the year but they don't make them any more sadly... so yeah I bought her little sister! It sad that will stop the kia rio too!

The Rio is still available in South East Asia, India, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and several European countries. In fact the Rio for 2024 is Hybrid in many countries. The Kia Rio in Georgia USA will no longer be produced. Kia Mexico will continue producing the Rio, just not exporting the US or Canada. They have gotten quite popular in Mexico. Some of these overseas Rio's are still the GT model with far more options including faux leather etc like the Rio used to be here in North America.

I don't get it. Everywhere I look (including KIA itself) I'm told the '23 Rio doesn't come with a sunroof, but this is one of a few videos that shows that it does. Confusing.

It is being phased out for North America, but parts will be supported for years to come.

Canada always receives The better Korean versions compared to the USA. That was even proven true back in 2002 to 2004 with my Kia Spectra it's a GSX when they had the same exact model but included full of disc brakes, leather seats with optional heater leather seats high wings spoiler, 15-inch rims optional package anagram effects kit with front and side skirts.

Rio is definitely sold in South Africa, however the "trims" may be different. I'm told the African market is content with less features vs North America. Subsequently, South Africa was not impacted with product shortages like us over here.

I have made a deposit in the end of February and they just called me ( may 9th ) and they said that they can’t have one for me because the dealership receive one Kia Rio in a month and it was already sold. 😢 So I don’t know if you can have one now. At least go try because you can get more lucky than me and maybe have a cancellation. It depends of the dealership!

No, a few years back a sedan Rio was an option however starting 2021 they became hatchback only (In Canada)

We’re located in Ontario, Canada! In the US, they don’t have the EX Premium which is the model in our video, but they do have the Rio S, which is going to be the comparable model.
