I use Norwegian M77 boots - durable, warm, and utterly reliable in the outdoors.

@@Embrabrummie I've never heard of them i will check them out , it's hard to find a boot that is really durable for every day use thanks for commenting 👍

@robin_in_the_hood There are several reviews of the boots on "KZbin". They are old style (pattern of 1977) with no frills. Generously sized, so you can put a couple of pairs of socks on, or, as I do, put 2 insoles, one flat, beneath a shaped pair. You can find the boots offered on "E-Bay". I am not sure where you live, but, if they are suitable for the Scottish Winter, they should cope with anything you may encounter elsewhere in the UK.

@Embrabrummie they sound perfect mate i live in Nottingham but i am always here there and every where boots don't last me very long so I'm yet to find one that suits me ,are they army boots?

@robin_in_the_hood Yes they are. I was a TA soldier for many years, and find army kit to be hard wearing. I live in Edinburgh, hike and camp all over Scotland. Some of my kit comes from Finland, as, if it works over there, it will work here. I have had a pair of Norwegian 77s for many years, and have just bought a second pair, so I can alternate them. They were £75 off "E-Bay", brand new.

@robin_in_the_hood Yes, they are the standard boot of the Norwegian army. I was in the TA for many years, and find army kit to be generally tough and long lasting. I have had a pair of 77s for many years, and they have served me well. I have just bought a second pair from "E-Bay" for £75 brand new, so I can alternate them with my old ones.
