WOW! that's a heck of a find! Can't believe how clean that U50 is.
@elite19428 күн бұрын

It was fate. Glad you've got it.
@elite194Ай бұрын
indeed it was! now I must repay that debt to Fate by making this thing into the coolest locomotive it can be!
@jagc1969Ай бұрын
I can't believe you got that beauty for only $100. You should have also bought a lotery ticket that day. A very nice brass locomotive. I want to see the final result.
@elite194Ай бұрын
because there was no price tag and it was surrounded by brass locomotives that were all over 500 bucks and some in the thousands, I didn't even ask the price until I was leaving. I wanted 1 more look and the guy wanted me to have it and make it run. He made the offer that I could not refuse!

@@elite194 He is a nice man. Willing to negotiate.
@elite194Ай бұрын
@@zingybingy I didnt negotiate... he told me what he wanted and could obviously see that I wanted to do something special so he made mafia offer - you that one you can't refuse? not it's here on the workbench getting ready to roll!!
@zingybingyАй бұрын
@@elite194 I agree. Great prices.

Im not the longest follower you have, but I feel as if nothing was more up your alley than this Ufifty 🤠

I have dreamed about this one for a long while!

That runs better than I thought. Sounds fairly smooth and I already know what this video is. A indepth forensic analyst of its complete drive system. Repowered with Quantum Light Drive and lettered in your own road name.
@elite194Ай бұрын
you know that is exactly what's happening right now!!!

First thing I'd do is change the magnets in the Pittman motors to neodymium (rare earth) magnets if you don't re-motor the unit. I've done all my Pittman motors and it has made a huge difference in performance and current draw. Now they "creep" along the tracks. Cheers from eastern TN

No Pittman here, we're doing dual 266 face rippers wired anti-parallel!
