Brasso Seco's Grand Bazaar

Brasso Seco held their annual Grand Bazaar on July 1st, 2018. Yep, it took me nearly a whole year to upload this--so sorry!
This was one of the best trips I've done. The village is located deep in the Northern Range of Trinidad. It's serene and peaceful and gives a true taste of rural life on an island.
The bazaar was a great day of fun, food and family. The villagers all came together to make this event the success that it was. I highly recommend spending a day in this beautiful village, and experiencing the beauty of Brasso Seco!

That cocoa chow looks amazing! Such a fantastic bazaar full of wonderful exotic produce. I know you were all in your element at this great event! OMG curry mountain crab!!! My eyes are on stalks watching this :)) Auntie Judy's mango chow and pone looks so good! I love the fireside with the smoker oven, real old school cookery. It felt like I was right there with you all. The Asa Wright Nature Centre is such an amazing place to visit. Thanks for taking us on this magical tour. Shared.

I haven't watched the whole video yet, but watching the first minute of this video with the Sweet & Sour chicken makes me remember the live you did from your home in Trinidad on a Sunday Morning when your mom was frying up that chicken to put it in the sauce. This time last summer was a very tough time for me as I was in the hospital and your videos and daily lives really lifted my spirits and gave me something to look forward to, especially on Saturday evenings. Just wanted to share that...

Good Monday Reshmi... Thank you for this wonderful and heartwarming vlog of my beloved homeland. No matter where I go, there is always a sense of longing for the comradery and easy going atmosphere in T&T. OMG the abundance of food stalls. I will have fifty snow cones to go. Heavy on the syrup and sweetened milk, lol. Curry lobster looks delish and in fact everything looks good. I have never been to Brasso Seco but plan to put it on my Trinbago bucket list. You video was a feast for sore eyes. Thank you dear.

I really enjoyed this video and loved the way you guys make food a celebration of life. My antique corner of vintage reproduction mini vehicles and toy race cars depicting various modes of travel 🚗 🐄 🚕 🐎 went very well including a ribbon cutting ceremony. On Friday I will be changing out my display to a vintage and modern mixed glasses 🍷 🍺 🍸 collection titled 'Raise our glasses to all fathers' in honour of Fathers Day.
