Got a Brave Forebearance Demo/Chain about 30 minutes before work and went to test it at Shuro Chi and it immediately crashed my game. So far 10/5 gun; it's so powerful it crashes your game

@@denny8422nah, as soon as I saw they put Forbearance n the loot pool of a game mode that was more accessible to the entire player base I knew they were gonna nerf it’s main attraction. It won’t be anywhere near as potent come TFS. It certainly won’t clear rooms the way it does now. So better have fun with it while we can.

The main reason forbearance og will still exist is for its origin trait, making it splashable in builds that don’t care about grenades or certain raid scenarios where you are trying to save abilities and mod slots.

Also always remember the longer your grenade cool down the less energy you will get from Demolitionist. And the shortest cool down will give you way more energy. So try and pick short cool down grenades .

Just remember that demo is different on all grenade types now and dependant on the type of grenade you have it could be more then 10 kills to recharge it fully

Yeah i used to be bummed out by that change but it makes sense that it would be a bit harder to get a better grenade back. Anyways it doesn't really feel like much with a chain reaction Forbearance and with some other ability regen pairing it could still get insane pretty quickly.

Also worth noting the interactions with Strand and Stasis, particularly on Warlock, where your abilities are incredible and you probably want to use your kinetic slot on a primary that matches your subclass. Demo + Chain Reaction already makes a bleak watcher build much stronger, for example.

I've only done Vow once because I don't feel like going to LFG and doing raids anymore, but on my only clear I got Forbearance, Cataclysmic and Deliverance. With those guns unlock, I was able to farm the red borders from the first chest, 3 chests a week for a year. Demo def makes it better than the raid one, but demo works differently depending on which grenade you have on now. Firebolt grenade (shortest cd) takes fewer kills to refill than Solar grenade (longest cd) because it's based on the cooldown of the grenade. So watch out for that.

I ran Salvagers with Demo x Chain Reaction because Vow messed with my seizures. When friends, clan mates had Forbearance & eventually the crafted one. Since the Brave Loot release I haven't got a single roll that is perfect for me. Slightly concerning haha! Well I guess RNGesus/Lootcifer was looking out for me with Forbearance! Not only did I get a Demo x Chain Reaction Roll with a Velocity MW, I also got an Ambitious Assassin x Chain Reaction with a Reload MW too! My perfect roll & the backup roll too! Still need to get lucky with a Shiney version so I can enhance the perks later on but for right now? I'm seriously happy!

You mention an Assassin's Cowl Hunter wanting something like this but I have a hard time putting down my One-Two Punch Shotgun when on that build. With the nerf to double special, it's hard to justify getting rid of that level of damage for some blind-based utility build, especially when you're already going invisible, blowing up spawns for free, and blinding/nuking tough targets just by melee + dodge spamming.

CoolGuy, if you ever need someone to run a raid, any raid, I'll jump at the chance. I never get to run them because I'm not some meta-only tryhard. I like playing the raids not for grinding or loot but for the story, lore, and experience. People who raid don't like that so I seldom get to do them. It sucks because I really want to end my Destiny tenure having left nothing undone. I want my guardian to be the lore-accurate guardian when I fight the Witness.

I like the original raid variant more, because of exactly the origin trait. I use it with the arc warlock, with a vesper of radius + the Beacons fragment. I have Unterelenting and Chain and it adds just what the Arc warlock lacks - healing. A primary with Kinetic tremors, a blinding / healing special and a DPS heavy (rocket / exotic / linear). On the Arc Warlock you can easily change the exotic to fit what you need - more super energy (Geomags), more blinding (Vesper), more abilities (Fallen Sunstar), longer super + addclear (Crown). The brave addition is good to have too, especially because of enhanceable perks later.

I for one am really glad as in my 10 plus clears of vow I never even got a single forbearance to drop let alone a good roll or red borders, so it helps me. And I’m trying to get two of my friends into the game since the new light changes and just being able to get them a great ad clear launcher almost immediately out the gate instead of having to do a raid or farm something like iron banner for a tusk of the boar will be nice for them. People often don’t see the big picture when they complain about a gun like this being included.

at first I was not going to "Farm" Forbearance as I have a good (not crafted) raid version. based on this I love the nade build and farmed a bit and got one with demolitionist + BnS. not a 10/10 but should do the trick. now I can get ready for Blast Furnace and Luna's which are the 2 I have wanted the most. An interesting roll is Demolitionist and Desperate Measures. Get a kill with this, throw a grenade and then fire again with extra damage. You get grenade energy back quickly, and on an arc subclass, you can get Ionic Traces from the grenade kills.

Fortissimo is one of my most used Kinetic weapons because it one-shots most ads and gives me just so so much grenade energy. Being a shotgun as well, demo gives more grenade energy than most other weapons. Used to be 20% before it got stealth-nerfed. That was 28% grenade energy with wellspring per bullet. And with forbearance, I can only imagine that being way better!

@coolguy I have both your ideal rolls (demo+well and demo+chain). I think the demo-chain roll is currently best, but given the upcoming nerf to chain reaction, the wellspring roll may come out on top….but considering higher-tier content and player build-crafting skills/knowledge, having a damage perk may actually prove to be the better way to go in order to secure those kills, you know, particularly when you factor in ammo economy and weapon damage verses enemy health Appreciate the vids

I certainly agree that this version of the weapon is an upgrade for most rolls, but I'm definitely keeping my raid version with Unrelenting/Chain. I feel like no other weapon can proc Unrelenting as quickly and reliably, and it flows perfectly into Soul Drinker since you gotta reload after every shot anyway. The different versions serve different roles and I'll be keeping both.

Small correction. Wellspring isn't giving you 8% to grenade its split between uncharged abilities and since enhanced gives 9% its 3% to grenade unless the other abilities are charged than irs either 6% or 9%. So 19% up to potential of 23%

Forb on Arc sub classes provides so much extra utility through Blind alone. it always picks up a random add kill and Amped is so easy to achieve, so proccing Blind explosions just comes with using the gun like normal. Arc needs more love 😔

I’m late to this vid, but I am soooo not late to Spark of Beacons. I’ve been using that since the rework. It’s an absolutely beautiful fragment that I don’t see ppl talk about enough. I love using glaives and Nezzy’s is my fav. SoB makes it so much easier to clean house with. Couple ranged kills or ability to get amped, kill somethin n the middle of the pack with ranged shot from Nezzy’s Whisper, then go ham with melee. It’s just a different loop and spices things up a bit.

Fr i got a demo chain reaction shiny and after three 50 round onslaught clears i already have over 1 thousand kills on it. Its insane. I also have been using spark of beacons with it. Its so godlike i felt comfortable using double special again. Ive been using it to create a lord shaxx build that was inspired by his counter attack at the battle of twilight gap. Arc is really hard to make powerful in endgame activities rn but this grenade launcher singlehandedly made it viable.

Built in demo even if only 5% is amazing. Its enhancable AND i can simply just get demo on the gun for even more grenade energy. Stacking that with devour means contraverse holds are basically useless. You have so much uptime on your grenade with enhanced demo and indomidability. Chain reaction is a borderline must pick unless it does less damage on this version.

the raid one is better imo, however it’s much harder to get access to considering you’ll probably get a crafted one before a good roll drops. the only reason i say this is because of the healing it offers. i used it in day 1 contest mode, and was one destroying ads, along with it keeping me alive without having to take advantage of my subclass. otherwise in 90% of content, the BRAVE one will do just fine, and it even has demo which some people will argue is better because it offers you basically free grenades and a quick and easy reload.

NGL, after using demo chain (still going for demo wellspring), I kinda have to disagree. Survivability is always welcome, I do agree. But, once you use it, once you realize its power. That is when you will understand. Also as a hunter I wanted to see what grenade builds I could do with arc because I wanted to match and dear god I am not using shinobis vow or lucky raspberry.

I've only done the raid a few times and have only gotten a couple of weapon drop from it but non really special. My "luck" is armour... I love wave-framed GLs and Deafening Whisper was my favorite for a very long time. I knew I've gotten one GL but since it didn't have autoload I just stashed it in my Vault. Stumble on a video ca one month ago, saying Forbearance is such a great weapon etc, etc... So I watched it, ok ambitious assassin and chain reaction, ok let's have a look in ny Vault... Well, I've been using it since then! 😺 If I can get one with demolitionist + ? would be great but I'm happy with the one I've got. Great video, Thank's!

IMO one of the big strengths of the OG version is the ability to pair unrelenting plus souldrinker for an insane amount of health refund/regen. Basically like a better personal heal clip, on a special weapon with very good AoE add clear. Makes it VERY good in difficult content where you actually want that healing. Even without Unrelenting though Souldrinker being a mini-unrelenting is still VERY strong. Not saying the new version, particularly with demo, isn't great though. That said it IS worth noting that Demo (and the origin trait) are worse than you would originally think thanks to the nerf earlier in the season to all ability energy refunding abilities. Your refund scales based on your abilities cooldown such that longer abilities get less refund and it's not a flat 10% (5 for origin trait) like various websites state. I also feel like people saying they can't raid often are kind of missing out on how "easy" it is to get Vow weapons as long as you get 1 drop AT ALL ever. The fact that you can easily get the first chest solo on all 3 characters means you can over time get copies of the weapons that way very easily. Now that we have Harmonizers it's very easy to unlock the crafting too since you don't even need to pray for red borders. If you only raid on 1 character to get the initial drops it's even easier because you'll guarantee that your other characters do not have armor unlocked meaning the bonus chest will ALWAYS drop a weapon.

Finally got Demo Wellspring - and its REALLY good, noticeable increase in grenade recharge. Thank you. Demo Chain is great for easier stuff when the 1st wave just kills everything. I'm still unsure what is best between Desperate Measures and OFA (with demo) I often throw a grenade and then use forbearance so Desperate measure is often up vs OFA which seems better for a follow up shot (OFA Ambitious is probably my better OFA roll)

I wonder if this thing goes crazy on Stacy Lock cause those nades already come back INSANELY fast when you hit a target, this thing probably gives you literally instant grenades and maybe gives you an actual turret army and not a click-bait turret army which is only about 2 turrets max at a time.

Unrelenting/Turnabout/Souldrinker in the old or Demo/Wellspring/Indominability. Nothing can match the survivability of the OG Forbearance, and this is the first really good add clear gun with the demo/wellspring combo not to mention the extra grenade or melee energy.

A correction about demolitionist: - demo on special weapons grant base 20% grenade energy, not 10% - BUT this is regulated with a scalar that gives less for more powerful nades with longer cooldowns CG seems to have missed the tweaks to demo in the last 6 months…😂

You make a good point about chain reaction still not being a dead perk, but now its about opportunity cost. You can have another perk there like wellspring, desperate measure, or even rampage isnt bad. Lots of people just skip over rampage now, but its still easier to activate than desperate measures. Desperate measures just has a lot if leeway time to refresh it once you get to 3 stacks.

So the reason the disruption break wave GLs haven't popped off in checkmate is not because they don't kill. they are technically one of the most efficient special weapons in the crucible right now. they kill extraordinarily fast in the hands of a skilled operator and easily set up kill perks on primaries. additionally, special weapon kills in checkmate provide zero special meter refund. however, when you DB blint with a wave frame and clean up with a primary, you get the full primary value on the special meter return. in most scenarios is killing just as fast as other special weapons, and the playstyle refunds special ammo faster. The new problem, besides wave frames being pretty bad against airborne targets, is that they don't break the shields on 10 resil guardians. they're very powerful in the hands of a skilled operator, but they just don't work against 10 resil guardians and overshields.

I hate learning raids to farm weapons, and as much I wanted Forbearance, never got into it. Tusk was my save grave, but I hate pvp also 🤣 and didn't get luck rolling Chain. So, being able to have Forbearance on Onslaught is awesome, and at least I got a Demo + Chain one. I know it is not the ambitious god roll, but using Strand Titan, it feels really nice to get both melee and grenade energy back at a time.

On the one hand, it's slightly better and great for new players etc. On the other hand it's a slap in the face to anyone who worked and grinded for the raid version, which then needs a bump or perk change up to be as good or better. Same way that Zaoli's is now overshadowed by Luna's Howl as Luna has better sights, more accurate, reloads faster, more rounds, looks better, and only misses on explosive rounds which in PVE are meh anyway.
