The wooden Lions International piece is the logo for the Lions Club. They are a civic club/non-profit who provide services for the blind. My dad was president of a NC chapter. I would say that piece was made by a blind person, probably at one of their overseas facilities ("International"). In the 60s and 70s they sold wood pieces that were turned and carved by blind employees at their production plants. My dad had several pieces, one of which I now own. Cool piece! Great organization! BTW...FYI..They do take gently used eyeglass frame donations, which are recycled and distributed at no charge to those who are financially challenged, or do not have access to eye and vision care other than remote clinics, both inside and outside the U.S. Look for the drop boxes. Ours are at Wal-Marts here in E.TN, just outside their "Optics" door. ✌ y'all. CLL crushing it again 🖤

The other day I went to a Thrift Shop called the Golden Goose in Tucson. They have a lot things from people in a 55+ community. Since I have been watching your videos, I actually saw a bowl that I thought was very nice and when I picked it up I discovered it was Murano. I never would have been impressed but for your video. I didn't buy it because I don't need anymore stuff and I am pretty sure my kids would not want it so I left it for someone who could use it. Thanks for giving lessons about antiques. Almost everything I have in my house would definitely be considered antiques and I am a little sorry everything will end up at the Golden Goose but I keep talking to them about where and from whom everything came from.

It is on 77 north in Catalina. Going north it is on the right hand side. It is very popular and almost always crowded. They are not open on Sunday or Monday.

I am a thrifter not a reseller andvi just want you to know that i have found things at the thrift stores that have made me so happy. Some are a daily part of my life. D o please don't be sad. You are actually helping people. Also when I was little and thrifting was seen as something shamefull I was lucky enough to get mo at all my clothes shoes and other nesecities from the thrift store. We could not afford new things, but they were new to me. I was happy.

I’m just curious why items that you or are interested in that are larger than you would want to ship you don’t just buy for your booth? Is it just the limited space or do certain items just not sell as well in a booth setting? Just wanting to learn more about it. Thanks.

The Goodwill's in suburban Chicago way over price the Vera Bradleys so there is no room to resell. I think that stinks since they get all their merchandise for free and it's not like they are a charity, they are just greedy.🤔

Jocelyn, to help remove the stickers off of items such as the cork-backed placemats, use a blow-dryer to warm the sticker, then to make sure the stickiness comes off with stickers, allow them to cool (ever so slightly) before removing the stickers while still warm. The cute puppy-shaped pillow is made of 1960s fabric, I'm pretty sure. ( : Nice green, early 1970s hanging lamp. Those plastic resin lamps became popular a couple years later than the Lucite grape clusters did. Good haul. ( :

That def was a Laurel Birch tote ! I found one at Joann Fabric. Two had been sent to the store by mistake so I bought the smaller one for a knitting bag . It was around $33 . Just love those prints !

Lions Club, every town has one! Use a blow dryer to loosen glue on stickers, will come off with ease and no damage to item! HATE it when Goodwill puts their stickers on the manufactures tag & rarely a way to separate!

I went to the goodwill today and found a glass Lady and the Tramp set of figurines from the 1950's for 1.99 and 2.99 respectfully. Looked up comps. They sell for 26.00 a set. I was so pround of myself. When i got in the car i looked at my husband and said well today's spend was 18.00...and i just laughed!!

The strange tupperware thing is a tiered tray. The piece on top is actually the bottom. The smaller piece is the middle or you can use them separate and use the middle part to hold dips etc. I miss the one I had.

It doesn’t have a high resale value as a general rule. For instance, an entire set of 52 pieces sold for $300. That averages about $6 a piece and to ship 52 pieces would be incredibly tedious and costly. In another instance, a set of 43 sold for 260-about $6 a piece.
