We are now in the 21st century and we must NEVER FORGET the sacrifices we made during the great war of 1982-2005. It was brutal and Muor Muor played a major role in achieving our independence later in 2011. Their morale was always unmatched by even by the mighty Koryom. I remember one of my uncles dropping to tears when his son died crossing the desert during Koryom disaster. No one even talks about it anymore but I think it was due to a lack of proper co-ordination and proper communication devices. How can a well trained battalion perish in a desert? It doesn't make sense but it might during those days. That was around 1983-1985 period. I was too young but my brain was as sharp are a knife by then. For example, I know the shoes I was wearing when I first stepped into a classroom. What shoes? My natural shoes...my bare feet. You know, we have become too soft with shoes and cars and luxury things that don't make sense when we should be focusing on things that matters....like building peace and developing our communities.
