Now I will speak, Respectfully : Mr. Snitker stays in 2024, MUST be open to suggested ideas or situations that work toward a WIN. How I feel SO MUCH toward a firing 🔥, I am willing to give him a chance to take that winning season spirit and transmit it toward the playoffs & World Series. 2021 was RARE & next to Amazing ‼️ 2024 = 2021, We need to figure out what’s wrong & FAST 💨 Cause Spring Training is closer then we realize I will be watching CLOSELY, Not only as a Fan but as a Deep Dedicated Investor in the Atlanta Braves Organization ⚾️🇺🇸 Thank You ☮️

I have been a Braves fan since the arrived in Atlanta. It is amazing how history has started to repeat itself. Just like the dominant teams of the 90's, again we are praising the regular season and making excused for a flat uninspired showing in the post season. It looked like the whole team had taken a couple of Tylenol PM's before each game. There is too much emphasis placed on winning the NL East as it looks like the best position in the present playoff format is to be the top Wildcard ream. Obviously, we could not catch up to the fastballs as none of the vaunted power hitters could barrel up the ball. I like Snitker but in his interview he said " I don't know" a little too much for me. It is clear that baseball players cannot take a week off and be on their "A" game at a moments notice. The only way to practice for the playoffs is to play meaningful intense baseball, just look at the record of the teams that sat out a week. Just like Cox - Snit was not able to fire up the troops. There are two kind of players - regular season players and October players. Other than Riley there were no October players on the field this year. I would like to see Atlanta win but Snit is a Cox disciple and you cannot play the playoffs like the regular season and expect a level of intensity required to take on a bunch of crazies like the Phillies.

The Braves were just overpowered and we will do it again next season. The Braves might win more than the Phillies but we have better pitching, depth, and the Phillies have more fight in them. As a Phillies fan, let me just say that in spite of everything, while I'm glad my Phillies did win, I also think that the Braves got screwed over by MLB in terms of the seeding. The Braves were the #1 seed and the Phillies were the #4 seed. The Braves should've played the #6 seeded Diamondbacks and the Phillies should have played the #2 seeded Dodgers. I'm not saying that it would've made that much of a difference, but I still think the seeding should be correct, like in the NFL playoffs.

@@overwhelmingtactician3011 I mean you guys earned it. I don’t blame the seeding. I blame the manager and players. They were way too casual and selfish this entire series with a dash of tightness and dare I say, apprehension. Firstly, say what you want about Harper getting doubled up that guy wanted to win. Piller was halfway home on a wild pitch, was being waved at but went back to third. Philly had a defensive alignment on Orlando Arcia where the right side had a huge hole but this guy didn’t alter his approach and swung for the fences. Game three, we just scored Ozuna, Arcia got a hit and Pillar walked, Mike swung on the first pitch for a weak groundball with Acuña coming up. 😵‍💫 These guys don’t realize or know how to play gritty playoff baseball. Topper left Marsh in to face “the wrong matchup” Marsh got a hit anyway. Snit playing Pillar, who did nothing all year, instead of Eddie was dumb, because Kevin still did nothing. Your team took it man. Enjoy it.

There needs to be a little more reward for a division winner that gets a bye! They sit idle for a week and lose their rhythm. The divisional series needs to be a 7 game series not a 5. And give the divisional winner 5 home games. I think that would be fair for a team that won their division and had to wait a week. It gives them the time to get their rhythm back and reward them for their efforts.
@adampalmer5399

I totally agree about the 7 game series & the Wild Card should only get 1 day before they start their 3 game series & then 1 day afterwards to get to the next series just like it is in the NBA. This performance was pathetic. Killer “I had no business starting” Pillar was halfway home on a wild pitch, got scared and ran back to third like a hoe perfectly sums up the Braves postseason. Uptight, scared, apprehensive, and kind of dumb approach-wise. Philly gave us chances but these guys all wanted to hit homers instead of stringing together hits and driving pitch counts up. The Braves need to make serious tweeks overall. The 2021 squad had mature player leadership and gamers. AA let Freeman depart and then DS. The team is to young and immature. They lack dependable SP outside of Spencer. MF is erratic, Morton goes down during every post season since being a Brave. They need to make serious trades and acquisitions all around. Honestly, i would start with Acuna and get a huge trade return after an epic season. Secondly, I would invest in a very good SS to solidify that spot for years. Turner has made the Phillies even better than last year. The Braves are to focused on the HR hits and again were unable to score with the small ball hits. This is a culture issue at this point. AA is the guy that can get it fixed but needs a bigger budget to work with.

All the teams that clinch got eliminated it has to do with the resting for almost 8 days. Because in the regular season those teams were a diff ball club. Baseball would humble you real quick. Bats get cold cause is no way Atlanta had a terrible offense like that after almost 300 hr in the regular season.

I am a Phillies fan and I have to say that I have so much respect for Snitker. He is a straight up guy who doesn't make excuses. He’s soft and didn’t have our guys prepared. He couldn’t last up North. He’s too nice and complimentary of the opponents before, during, and after. The guy doesn’t have an edge to him. Boston, NY, Philly would be too intense for the guy. I’m a Braves guy and Snit is a Bobby Cox disciple. Annoying, Snit has a 3-1 choke job to LA, 1 WS, and two uncompetitive series L’s to a divisional opponent (now turned rival)? He’s is closely mirroring Bobby Cox.

Yes. Pitching needs to get back to how it used to be. Our main pitchers were out with injuries for a good portion of the regular season, we didn’t really have good bullpen which I could tell would be the defeat in the post season. The bats this post season seemed like they being held back. Swinging at stuff that’s not close and watching strikes down the middle. Hopefully they bounce back next season.

Sorry to say it but Snitker needs to be replaced. He has repeatedly made stupid critical errors when it matters, particularly lineup and pitching decisions. In fairness, he was handcuffed by poor trade decisions (lack of them when pitching staff was falling apart). They must reinforce their pitching staff. I cannot recall one with so many injuries, some of which will greatly affect 2024. I would trade Fried (too many injuries) and Acuna (generally underperforms in post season--Braves won WS without him) while they are still worth something and pick up 2 solid starting pitchers as a starting point. Acuna definitely appears to set a cavalier tone in the dugout and it rubs off on many other members of the team.

This wasn’t even a choke, because we weren’t ever in a position where we had games on them. This was an uninspired underperformance. The offense averaged like less than 2 runs per game and wasted two Strider starts. Years ago, fastballs would of never stymied this team.

Phillies 36 hits / 11 home runs / 20 runs scored vs Braves 24 hits / 3 home runs / 8 runs scored in 4 games. Braves had opportunities to win game 1 and 4 as the Pitching kept them close and in the game with the Phillies only scoring 3 runs in each game but Braves batters produced 0 runs in game 1 and only 1 run in game 4. The 9th innings in game 4 summed up the series for the Braves as they had a big chance of a rally to push it to a game 5 decider with no outs and Ozuna on 3rd and Murphy on 1st but It was 3 up and 3 down after that and the series was lost. The Opportunities in winning a World Series don't happen every season as it is hard to always be in contention. In saying that the post season format needs to be looked at as what are the benefits of finishing either 1 or 2 - an extra home game if required - having a break is more detrimental than a benefit, Surely 1 should play 2 with the winner through to the league championship and the loser playing the winner of the series between the 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 series winners i.e Braves would play LA Dodgers and Phillies would play the Diamondbacks

The underdog mentality becomes one hell of an advantage come playoff time. When you know you are expected to lose and have more to prove, you typically play better than the guy who's favored to win. Sometimes the better guy can't shake off the overconfidence and their edge is lost.

You win or get beat trying! Snit said it best, the Braves "got beat". Phillies pounded the top part of the zone to counter the low ball hitting Braves. The Braves didn't quit, so that's kudos to them. Post season baseball has stories like this that unfold in October. I recall the Braves winning the division in 1982 and NEVER lost to the Cardinals in the regular season. After Game 1 was rained out before it was official, the Cards swept them in the NLCS and then beat the Brewers in the WS.
