Arcia is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. His enthusiasm for the game, and the team, is incredibly infectious. Even when he's on the bench, he's up at the top railing cheering his teammates on with everything he's got, then comes in and gets an RBI single. That's a man who does it the right way, and enjoys the game. Not a bad first showing this year for Vines. Especially against an offense like the Astros. His stuff isn't overpowering, but he gets a lot of weak contact. If he can get a handle on the walks, he'll be a god send for our rotation after losing Strider.

Notes From the Game: + Darius Vines looked pretty good, but couldn't quite finish the 5th. His Final Line? 4 2/3 Innings of 1-Run, 4-Hit Ball, Walking 3 and Striking Out 4. Hoping to see more from him. + Once again, it was the Bullpen that SHUT the Astros DOWN! Bummer, Johnson, Minter, and Chavez all worked together to SILENCE Houston, Allowing Just 3 Hits and 1 Walk while Striking Out 3. Aaron Bummer gets his First Win of the Season, Finishing the 5th and getting into the 6th while allowing just 1 Hit, Improving to 1-1 with an ERA of 4.50. A.J. Minter was the STAR of the Night, Getting Yordan Alvarez to Pop Out in a CRITICAL Situation in the 7th, then Pitching a FLAWLESS 8th! ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 1 Run, 7 Hits, 4 Walks, 7 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed! The Braves got to Arrighetti Early, then POUNDED Hader Late! + Luis Guillorme got the Scoring Started... Unconventionally! 1-3 with a Single that led to a Run thanks to Jeremy Pena YEETING a Throw to First Base that ended up in Galveston! + Ozzie contributed to the Scoring in a PAINFUL Fashion! 1-3 with a Single and RBI WHACKED-BY-PITCH! Ozzie Holds onto a .317 Average with an OPS of .878! + ARCIA OFF THE BENCH! His ONLY AB is an RBI Single that got the Scoring Frenzy started in the 9th! As you said, Ozuna's bat has been hot since early last season and it just hasn't cooled off. He is gonna have a monster year. I think Riley and Harris are gonna put up some serious numbers as well.

Thanks for doing this. Is the Coliseum a shit hole, absolutely. But it is such a fun time. The horns in the outfield, it is the last Wild West MLB game experience, or as you perfectly termed it, a dive bar. In spite of a terrible venue and owner, Oakland has relentlessly passionate fans and that is what hurts. Every team turned their back on them, when the city that loved them needed them most. I'm a Braves fan first, baseball fan second, A's fan third (I'm a polygamist) always have been since those moneyball A's. My friends live in South San Francisco and brought me on the BART (you're a superhero, your power is flying underwater..except you pop out in Oakland) and we had a great day there. The day they said they were going to Sacramento, my friends and I decided on a weekend. Even my not baseball loving wife, 'we have to do this'

Good job on the Pitching Managing in this game. Minter and Chavez came in both for 1 inning and that worked out better than having either or of those guys staying in for longer innings. They might just be closer pitchers only. Still need some better starter pitchers. I've been watching the other teams pitching and there are some really good pitchers on other teams. Don't make me say what their names are. I can't remember. Maybe I'll watch more games and remember next time.

That is why he wants to bat first. Every pitcher wants to start the game with a strike and thats his best chance at that type of pitch without getting ahead in a count. Dont get me wrong he is dangerous down in the count, but he wants that early opportunity at a get me over pitch and the extra at bat per game. I am not worried about his lack of hr so far. He has mashed some balls well over 110mph but no hr because he hit the ball too well and hit low line drives. I saw one last week 17 degree launch angle at 114 mph.

LOVED seeing the pitching doing this well. I was a little concerned with Vines at the beginning, but he settled down and really pitched well. If we can get the pitching going like in this game, we're gonna be in good shape!

I think Morton needs to be turned into a 3 inning closer pitcher and I don't know what other pitchers there are on the team. I'll have to check the roster. But if there aren't like 3 other good starter pitchers other than Fried to cycle every 4 games, what are the options? I don't know the rules of when teams can get new players.

They can make a trade but they aren't giving up ANY of their Position players so we'll just have to outscore opponents and maybe someone in the minors can come and help,. Vines already has~
