@@cogd1599 I think it was the platoon approach at third that had people worried. There’s just been so much consistency on third base being manned with Seag and Suarez. Although Garver is struggling the most, I think the mariners have a serious strikeout problem. I’m more worried about Julio! Don’t get me wrong he’s a slow starter, I get it. But last year it took up to the all star break for him to get going. In my opinion, Julio had a subpar season and still dominated in 2023. I was very hopeful he’d clean up the strikeouts, there’s no doubt in my mind he’d be leading the MVP talks if he did. But he’s missing, and missing a lot! And when he is making contact, it’s just not popping off the bat like normal. It sketches me out! But holy Moses I’m glad the pitching has come back and came with a vengeance! And this was a very scary part of the schedule! Reds, Rangers, D-backs and now braves. Rockies was a given. Unbelievable! Can’t take those for granted.

Braves saying they their hitters struggling right now meanwhile Seattle’s hitters have been struggling for years. Terrible clutch hitting, 10+ strikeouts and some just ridiculous looking. I like how Servais is being aggressive in using Munoz to win a series. He is using him more often in multi-inning games. The odds favor the Braves in game 3. Hancock has been good, but Chris Sales is a more accomplished arm. The M's have plenty of rested bullpen arms if Hancock runs into trouble. Servais aggressive move to use Munoz in a key spot to win game two makes sense.

Umps must pick and choose when they call runners out of the baseline. I've seen some absurdly bad calls because of umps being too literal in regards to a runner going down the 1st base line. Yet the Braves runner in a pivotal point of the game in the 8th, never once placed even a single foot into the runners lane while going to 1st. Munoz threw it away. Not sure why it's sometimes called and other times overlooked

Just look at the the last two years of playoffs where the braves got beaten in round one both years by the same team with an average of less than 6 hits a game and averaging 2 runs a game. This is a long standing issue of the Braves struggling to beat good teams. Who cares about 100 wins against mediocre or average teams if you can only win 1 playoff game because the bats went silent again? This is just looking all to familiar
