Mets Vs. Braves is going to be for ALL THE MARBLES. With all the injuries, for the Braves to be in playoff hunt still shows how deep the Braves team really is. Regardless, HATS OFF THE BRAVES ORGANIZATION.

Notes from the Game: + *MAXIMUS FRIED FINDING FORM AT A CRITICAL TIME! 6 Innings of 2-Run (1 Earned), 5-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 6 en route to VICTORY!* Fried Improves to 10-10 on the Year with an ERA of 3.42! In the Month of September, Fried is 2-2 with an ERA of 2.88, going 6+ Innings in each outing! + *BULLPEN SLAMS THE DOOR ON MIAMI! Johnson, Jimenez, and Iglesias Combine to FINISH the Final 3 Innings, Allowing just 1 Hit and Walk while Striking Out 4!* Not a Save Situation for Iglesias, but he gets 3 Outs in the 9th while recording just 1 Walk! *ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 2 Runs (1 Earned), 6 Hits, 2 Walks, 10 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed!* *14 Hits, but ONLY 6 Runs to show for it, with 5 Coming off of Home Runs. 2-10 with Runners in Scoring Position, and 10 Men Left on Base.* + *SOLER POWER GETS THE SPARK TO START THE SCORING! 1-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE DOWN THE LEFT-FIELD LINE!* Soler holds onto a .238 Average with an OPS of .775! + *MATT OLSON FINDING FORM AT THE RIGHT TIME! 2-4 with an RBI Single in the 5th, and the GO-AHEAD, GAME-DECISIVE, 2-RUN SUPER MISSILE TO THE RIGHT-CENTER FIELD SEATS IN THE 7TH!* Olson Steps Up to a .243 Average with an OPS of .792, along with 29 Homers on the Year! + *GIO URSHELA WITH THE DAGGER! 2-4 with an Single in the 6th, and a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE OF HIS OWN INTO THE CLEVELANDER IN THE 7TH!* Urshela holds firm with a .217 Average, .627 OPS, and 7 Home Runs on the Season! + OTHER NOTABLES: Marcell Ozuna had a 3-4 Day, while Ramon Laureano went 2-5, and Ozzie Albies went 1-5. Ozuna and Olson were the ONLY Braves' to Record a Walk. Orlando Arcia and Travis d'Arnaud BOTH had days to Forget, going a Combined 0-9 with 7 Ks. + *NO ROOM FOR ERROR, YET THE BRAVES PULLED OFF A NEEDED WIN. Fried looks to be FINDING FORM, Bullpen continues to SHUT THINGS DOWN, Defense MINIMIZED MISTAKES, and the Offense IGNITED LATE. However, THERE IS STILL NO ROOM FOR ERROR. WIN TOMORROW, AND THE TABLE IS SET. WE MUST FOCUS AND WIN.* - *The Phillies don't seem to be in a Rush to Win the NL East, as they FUMBLED ANOTHER ONE in Queens. This Keeps the Braves 2 Games Out of the Final Wild Card Slot. The Door Continues to Close with each Win the Padres, Diamondbacks, and Mets get.* *TOMORROW:* THE FINAL ROUND of this 3-Game Showdown Between the Braves and Marlins will take place under the Afternoon Skies of LoanDepot Park. Darren McCaughan will answer the Call for Miami, who has yet to earn a Decision in his Major League Career, including his most recent Start against the Dodgers, in which he allowed 5 Runs on 6 Hits in 3 2/3 Innings. *Meanwhile, Grant Holmes will get One More Shot as a Starter, Taking Up Battle Stations for the Braves in what could be a SEASON-DECISIVE Game in Miami. He's Coming off a No-Decision in Cincinnati, in which he allowed Just 2 Runs on 5 Hits in 4 Innings of Work, yet was PULLED in the 5th after ONLY Throwing 78 Pitches... a Decision that COST the Braves that game.* *Can Holmes and the Braves Secure a NEEDED SERIES WIN in Miami before the Final Homestand of the Regular Season?* Or will Miami and McCaughan drive another Dagger into the Tomahawk Chop's Postseason Hopes? *We Will Find Out at 1:40 P.M. EDT on Bally Sports Florida (Marlins), Bally Sports South (Braves), and MLB Network (Out-Of-Market ONLY)!* SoundFX09, Signing Out.

@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman he's going to have to hit 2 hrs every game to make up for the passed balls in outfield....not gonna happen. If he had been hitting the entire time since coming back we wouldn't be 2 games back. He was hitting just .181 since coming back to the braves until 2 weeks ago. Hardly what I'd call creating runs. His inability to make a play on the ball allows the other teams to score runs. He's going to let the Braves down when it matter against the Mets.

He makes a nice DH but of course that spot is filled. Will be interesting to see what the Braves do in the offseason. Before getting Soler I figured they would definitely pickup Ozuna's option for next year but now that they are on the hook for Soler's contract for two more years, it would make some sense to let Ozuna walk and use that money to sign a pitcher instead.
