Notes from the Game: + MAX FRIED WAS SENSATIONAL! 7 NO-HIT INNINGS, Allowing Just 3 Walks while Striking Out 5 and Earning the WIN! Fried Improves to 3-1 with an ERA of 3.57! Just needed to sort out some Kinks in April, but he's been EXCELLENT SINCE! + Bullpen did EVERYTHING they could to get the Combined No-Hitter, but it took a DESPARATE SWING from J.D. Martinez to Shatter It. Jimenez Allowed Two Walks in the 8th, But Struck Out 2 to escape, while Iglesias Allowed 1 Run on 2 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 1. Still, It was enough to earn the Win! ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 1 Run, 2 Hits, 6 Walks, 8 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed. Christian Scott, Meet YOUR ATLANTA BRAVES. They will OWN you on the Mound and you will see them in your NIGHTMARES! + Orlando Arcia JUMP-STARTED the Offense with 2-Run SUPER MISSILE DOWN THE LEFT FIELD LINE in the 3rd! That would be his only hit, as he finished 1-3, Adding a Walk Later On! Arcia Stands in with a .263 Average, .725 OPS, and 4 Home Runs on the Season! + WHAT A DAY FOR MONEY MIKE! He SHATTERS a 0-29 by going 3-3 with Three Singles, a WHACKED-BY-PITCH, and an RBI! Harris Steps up to a .264 Average with an OPS of .685! + Not the Best Day from the Current MVP, but he DID earn a CRITICAL RBI in the 9th via a Walk, Finishing 0-4. Acuna Holds Firm with a .252 Average and .716 OPS. - OTHER NOTABLES: Marcell Ozuna had a 2-4 Day, while Travis d'Arnaud Earned 1 Hit. Acuna, Riley, d'Arnaud, and Arcia also drew One Walk. Albies, Olson, and Kelenic had 0'fer Days, with Albies Going 0-5 but making contact, Kelenic going 0-4 and Striking Out Once, and Olson.... Going 0-4 with 4 Strike Outs... Honestly, this is just getting STUPID for Olson. + While our Shot at a NO-Hitter was DENIED by Pure BS from J.D., The Braves Finished the Job and GOT THE WIN. Fried was FANTASTIC, The Bullpen Did what needed to be Done, The Offense got to Christian Scott, and the Defense was SOLID. The Win is WHAT MATTERS, and the Braves Got it Today. LET'S SWEEP THE METS AMBITIONS AWAY TOMORROW! - ANNOYINGLY STILL, The Phillies Refuse to Lose, Keeping us at 2 Games Behind them. However, with the Rest of the NL East LOSING Today, this Puts the Braves at 6 Games Ahead of Washington, 7 of York, and 16 1/2 of Miami. TOMORROW: THE FINAL ROUND of this 3-Game Divisional SHOWDOWN Between the Braves and Mets will take place under the Lights of Citi Field. Luis Severino will take the Ball for the Mets, who is coming off a Bumpy Start against the Rays, Allowing 4 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 6 and Striking Out 6 in 5 Innings of Work. Meanwhile, BRYCE ELDER will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, who got LIT UP LIKE A FIREWORK by the Dodgers in his Last Start, being unable to Finish the 4th, Allowing 7 Runs on 7 Hits, Walking 4, Striking Out 4, and allowing 3 Home Runs in the Process. Can ELDER and the Braves make it Five-in-a-Row and HUMILIATE the Mets with a SWEEP in their Own Stadium? Or will Severino and the Mets find more ways to continue being an ANNOYANCE to the Tomahawk Chop? We Will Find Out at 7:10 P.M. EDT on ESPN (National), Home of SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL! Continuance @3:26 I call Bull 💩on that pitch being called strike 3 on Ronald Acuna !!! That pitch was clearly was outside a inch outside the plate and didn’t even cross over the home plate!!! A few bad pitches that should’ve been called a Ball being called a strike.... Isn’t that big of deal in this part of the season & in Games Braves are crushing the Ball and getting runs ! BUT BUT BUT WE DEFINITELY NEED MLB TO BE A LITTLE MORE STRICT ON THE UMPIRES AND THEIR INTEGRITY!!!!!!! Because in games further along in the season & especially in very tight ball games when bad calls on pitches can effect the outcome of a ball game that is very crucial they call 100% fairly. SO HERE IS MY SOLUTION TO MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL TO UPHOLD THE UMPIRES TO A MORE HONEST CALLING AT THE PLATE...... I think either AI is incorporated from the Announcers booth....OR... A independent person is in the TV announcers booth who has a better eye in the sky and if calls are called like the 2 times I’ve mentioned in my comment & this reply to my own comment occurs. Then the umpire by a ear piece & the announcers are notified that that umpires call is under review!!! Then if the AI or independent person is right the strike or Ball can be overturned or reversed if the review shows it was totally a ball or totally a strike & the Umpire’s call is overturned. Because I think that can keep games more honest at the plate!!!!!! Because if AI catches it or an independent person with no affiliation to baseball or have family in affiliation to MLB baseball whatsoever could keep The Home Plate Umpire honest. Because Teams can already challenge bad calls on the base umpires & get bad calls overturned. But no one can challenge the home plate Umpire. So by no means is that fair to every team in MLB & I think this method would keep the Home Plate Umpires more honest on his calls and it will also make Pitchers have to be better with throwing strikes in those crucial situations. I know people don’t like change neither do i in a lot of cases.... But in this case a home plate umpire can be a little dishonest & make bad calls & Change the outcome of a ball game. So if all the pro football referees be challenged so should ALL of the MLB umpires be challenged to keep them honest !!!!!

Stfu. It was a line drive that the 2B should have caught. NOBODY would have sprinted on that.

Something is wrong with acuna probably that knee,he looks like a different player a shell of himself frankly he looks terrible plus not running to first base is a no no maybe after this season of being terrible and not making the all star team ,he will get the message

Great job max. But braves what in the world. I don't like this year's Acuna. All he's done is absolutely nothing. He jogs around everywhere and it's like he doesn't even try and think he's all it. Either have him play 100% or send him down to triple A

I don't care what the pitch count is...Fried is 6 outs away from a no-no. You let him pitch. Analytics on full display.
