Mookie Betts is having a great year, no doubt, but this has to make Ronald the clear cut mvp winner. I mean the guy is two steals away from posting 40-70

Ozhaino Albies joined an exclusive club with his 100th RBI last night. He is the sixth MLB player that's a switch hitter to hit 30 homers and knock in 100 RBI twice before they were 26 years old or younger. Chipper, Eddie Murray both hall of famers, are in the six. He is definitely the smallest (5-8,175) of the bunch. Acuna has a little brother the Braves should try to trade for him..

And the fact that Elder some nights just doesn't look like he has it, he just gets a lot of run support to keep his loses down. I feel like Morton may be the same way, he can win as long as he gets a lot of run support but in pitcher's duels he struggles. And I haven't seen anything from Kyle Wright so far that tells me he's that 5th starter. Strider & Fried are really the only 2 I've seen being consistent as of late.

Notes From the Game: - DANG IT, NOT MORTON TOO! He Only Completes the First Inning, Walking 2 and Striking Out 1 before being pulled due to what is reported as 'Right Index Finger Discomfort'. With Fried Out until the Postseason, Now is NOT the Time to be BLEEDING Pitchers! To this point, Morton is 14-12 with an ERA of 3.64, and is 0-2 in the Month of September with an ERA of 7.36. A Precautionary Shutdown may be necessary, but with how much of a Roller Coaster his Season's been, Perhaps Father Time has caught up to Ground Chuck. + At the Very Least, the Bullpen did what needed to be done to earn the Win, even if it was a bit nerve-racking. 5 Pitchers were needed to FINISH the Final 8 Innings, Allowing 6 Runs on 10 Hits, Walking 4 and Striking Out 4. Michael Tonkin gets the Win in Relief, Pitching 2 Innings of 1-Run, 3-Hit Ball, Improving to 7-2 with an ERA of 4.09. Rasiel Iglesias gets his 30th Save, Allowing 2 Hits, But Striking Out 2 and Not Allowing any Runs. His ERA stands in at 2.79. ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 6 Runs, 10 Hits, 6 Walks, 5 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed! The Braves' Offense got to Patrick Corbin, and Added on against Machado! + ACUNA CONTINUES TO MAKE HISTORY! 2-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE, DOUBLE, And.... WHACKED-BY-PITCH?! Anyway, This Puts Acuna at a .337/.415/1.012 Line with 40 Home Runs, 101 RBIs, and 68 Stolen Bases through 152 Games! HE IS THE FIRST PLAYER IN MLB HISTORY TO REACH THE 40/60 CLUB.... CAN HE MAKE IT TO 40/70? + AUSTIN 3:16 WITH AN IMPRESSIVE GAME OF HIS OWN! 2-3 with a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE, Single, And 2 RBI Sacrifice Flies, Totaling 4 RBIs on the Night! Riley Stands Firm with a .281/.343/.859 Line with 37 Homers and 96 RBIs in 152 Games! + THE OZ-MAN GOT IN THE FUN AS WELL! 2-5 with a Single, Double, and RBI! Albies Holds Firm with a .275/.329/.839 Line through 140 Games! + DON'T COUNT OUT THE BIG BEAR! 1-4 with the GAME-DECISIVE THREE-RUN SUPER MISSILE INTO THE RIGHT-CENTER FIELD SEATS IN THE 7TH! Ozuna Stands in with a .268(-.001)/.340(-.001)/.875(+.003) Line with 36 Home Runs and 90 RBIs in 137 Games! + OTHER NOTABLES: Orlando Arcia had a 2-4 Night, while Michael Harris II went 1-4. Matt Olson had an 0-3 Night, But was Walked Twice; While Sean Murphy also had an 0-3 Night, and was Walked Once. Kevin Pillar had an 0-4 Night, But Struck Out Swinging on a 14-PITCH AT-BAT BATTLE! + Man... We have a Winning Streak of 2, but it's come at the cost of TWO STARTING PITCHERS. Morton Finished the First, but couldn't continue, leaving the Bullpen to Battle through to the end. Thank Goodness the Defense was Stout, and the Offense Kicked it Into High-Gear Early! Can the Braves keep the Winning Games going despite the Injuries? - Why are trusting the Mets to hold Philly at bay? We Should know what the result of that would be! ...BUT, that does Mean that the Mets, who have the HIGHEST PAYROLL IN MLB... HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED FROM POSTSEASON CONTENTION! WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY! Still, this means the Phillies have a 4 Game Lead on the Diamondbacks for the Top Wildcard Slot. However, the Orioles LOST in Walk-Off Fashion to the Guardians, Meaning the DODGERS (For the Moment) are Right Behind Us for the Home-Field Advantage Lead, at 3 1/2 Games, with Baltimore at 4 Games Behind. /// WEATHER ALERT /// Due to Tropical Storm Ophelia forming over the North Carolina Coast and Making a Beeline for the Nation's Capital, The Braves and Nationals will have a DOUBLEHEADER on Sunday, with Saturday's Game being Moved to the Following Day. In Game 1, Jackson Rutledge will take the helm for Washington, Who has made 2 Starts in his First Season in the Majors, and.... Isn't looking too good. He's Given Up 9 Runs on 16 Hits in just 10 Innings of Work. Meanwhile, The Staches' will be out at Nationals Park, as SPENCER STRIDER will take up Battle Stations for the Braves! Strider is coming off Back-to-Back 7-Inning Outings against the Phillies, Earning the Win in Each, while allowing just 4 runs on 8 hits in the 14 Innings he pitched. For Game 2.... NEITHER Team has made a Decision on who will start? Guess that Storm really did throw a wrench into their plans... Still, it was Originally Reported that Kyle Wright will take up Battle Stations for Game 2, who has yet to get a Win this Season, But showed some minor progress against the Phillies on Monday, Getting through 4 Innings and Striking Out 5, but allowing 4 Runs on 5 Hits and 4 Walks, Including 3 Home Runs. Can STRIDER and WRIGHT Carry the Braves Forward to a Potential Doubleheader and Series SWEEP of the Nationals? Or will Rutledge and the Nationals find a way to Split the Series against Two of the Braves' Biggest Young Pitchers? Both Games of the Doubleheader will start Sunday Afternoon at 1:35 P.M. EDT on MASN (Nationals) and Bally Sports South (Braves), with Game 2 at 6:35 P.M. EDT also being broadcasted on MLB Network (Out-Of-Market Only)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!
