He’s a 2 pitch pitcher and his 4 seamer is losing velo. He’s not able to get to 99-100 with lofe out of the hand anymore so his 4 seam probably looks like every other pitcher’s FB now. Ive never played baseball in my life so I’m no expert but that’s what I think is happening.

@@darnellsimpson3826 He was playing good ball in April, not spectacular, but good. As of May, it is like he hits into ground outs, strikes out, or pop flies for outs too often. Riley also looks like he has put on perhaps twenty pounds from last year and perhaps this is affecting his performance.

Somehow though, he earns the Win, Improving to 7-2, but his ERA climbs again to 4.12. I think the Mets and Tigers have Found a Weakness in Strider's Aggression, and exploited it. Hopefully this is something he can sort out. - Jesse Chavez.... Man. 4th Pitch of his Relief Appearance Today, and he gets Drilled by a Comebacker from Miggy (I Know Miggy did NOT do it on purpose). Thankfully, X-Rays are *Negative*. Though that does not give us a clue as to how long he will be out. Prayers for Chavez's Recovery.
