Thanks very much for posting this. I still remember the ending as a child watching this back in the 80's. The lesson about hero worship that Marshall Bravestarr had to learn. It must have left an impact on me too because I always remember that scene at the very end with Djingles in cuffs and his words "I never asked to be your hero" :( then Fuzz sweetly telling Bravestarr that he is a hero to somebody. I salute the writers of this episode, well done.

Maybe Jingles was a different person when he was Bravestarrs teacher. As the years went by he allowed his pride to get the best of him. And thought he was perfect in every way.

Nice work for an 80's cartoon to deal with the issue of hero worship. . . edit: Nowadays, Bravestarr would get his wanted posters via mobile alerts. And of course, the requisite moral at the end of the episode (I remember one episode even had Outlaw Scuzz give the moral of the day)

Deputy Fuzz: There! You happys now?! Next time, leave diggings to expert... ME! Fuzz may sound like a baby but he sure gave Thirty-Thirty a verbal smackdown. The voice actor for Fuzz also did Cow from Cow & Chicken.

The voice actor for Bravestarr played the part well. He was less upbeat. You can hear the disappointment in his voice.

And that voice actor would be Pat Fraley, who also worked on Scooby & Scrappy Doo, Ghostbusters and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. He was the perfect voice for BraveStarr!

why did filmation stop with cartoons? Music was good and always fits perfectly to the Cartoons.
@Vieweracc997 жыл бұрын
Bravestarr was Filmation's last gasp, financially speaking. Multiple sales of the studio and its properties meant that it ended up being sold to L'Oreal (yes, the makeup firm) and several spinoffs and series were never made. Filmation closed its doors in 1989. Bravo AKA Quest of the Prarie People was never finished.

What Vieweracc99 is saying. Filmation spent alot of money on Bravestarr, the animation itself speaks so and very highly of the quality being produced by the studio at the time. Alas those ratings sadly weren't enough to save the show. But just like; 'Adventures Of The Galaxy Rangers', both shows had an incredible 65 episodes due to their syndicated nature of airing them 5 days a week!

This and Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night were their last projects and they went out with a bang. Now if only a company like Warner or MGM or Sony could had boughten then company in 1988.

@@Vieweracc99 And most of Filmation's library of shows are now owned by Comcast via Classic Media, while other shows which were licensed are owned by Warner Bros., CBS Television Distribution, or other entities that likely will not allow their shows to be made into home media (ex. To tell the truth- Jingles Morgan is known as jealous, ill-tempered, negative, grouchy, lion-hearted, emotionless, serious, mean, obstinate, relentless, gluttonous, ambitious, nasty, judgmental, impolite, narrow-minded, gruff, low-key, erudite, stoic, menacing, offensive, roguish, grim, argumentative and narcissistic.
