Carson was a bigot and had an ego, but it was a good that the story showed us he has the potential to be a good person thanks to how he treated the kid, granted the kid was human so Carson had a biased, but he also showed he can be good with how he didn't berate the kid. which helped to making his lesson in learning to let go of his bigotry not feel like it just happened or was impossible and while things in the real world are a little more complicated than this series was able to touch on, it at least gave kids a beginner's lesson in letting go of any bigotted viewpoints. and it's good that this series used "aliens" as a metaphor for any person not like yourself, be it their race, choice of partner, religion, what have you. bigotry has no place and deserves no tolerance, just like Bravestarr didn't tolerate Carson's attitude

That alien sounds like bugs bunny because it's a bunny actually.
