That was really sweet when the older man gave the headdress to the younger guy since his father isn't around to pass it on. Very nice how they take care of each other the way they do. The modern world would be a better place if we still looked out for our neighbors the way they do.

What beautiful gesture from the women to support the men and how right the men are to protest the blocking of the natural Xingu river with a dam. Inspiring.

Am I the only one that watches things like this and thinks, "How did they get to this point?"? I mean who was the first person to conclude that somehow attacking a wasps' nest would make them stronger and why? Did they accidentally disturb one, get stung a bunch then win a battle in the following days and just decided, "It must have been all the stings!" or how do you ever come to that conclusion?? 🤔

This is the most bizarre yet fascinating tribal tradition I've seen. This is in Brazil... not India. So why are they referred to as Indians???😕

SLICE didn’t make the documentary, they just post it on KZbin so you can watch it for free. I guess this one must be older, back when Indian was used simply because the name stuck and no one had cared to think of a better term

Hoje nossos índios já tem internet, celulares, bons carros, bons sapatos... Felizmente não são mais "primitivos", contudo, explorados por não brasileiros.

Felizmente? Infelizmente o homem branco destruiu e continua destruindo a cultura e a civilização indígena. Desde quando índio tem que ser civilizado?

Stop the voice overs. Every single one of these with a voice over is unwatchable. The videos with only subtitles are all great though

Stop saying Indian. It was a mistake made by Columbus to think he had reached the shores of India. Using this term is racist. It is used to describe uncivilized tribal aboriginal natives.

Holy shit how many people do I have to correct? SLICE didn’t make the damn documentary. They post it on KZbin so you can watch it for free. Is anyone capable of doing research before they throw a fucking tantrum?

It's not racist. We know the word just means native people. You're the one that chose to be upset by the uncivilized part, which is also just true anyway because they haven't created a civilization. You're literally choosing to be offended by a word on behalf of them. Get over yourself.

Nothing wrong or racist with calling people "Indians". To me it'd be an honor being called as such, the word illicits positive implications. Unless one thinks being Indian is a negative thing, labeling these wonderful people "Indians" is a point of pride.

Could it be that the so called "civilized" are savages, and the so called "savages" the actual civilized folk? I think this documentary showed that these natives live together in a much more civilized manner then many of us "modern" people living alone in cities.
