I have been learning a huge amount on the Mercruiser outdrive based on your videos. You provide the best of what youtube has to offer on the subject. Have you by chance made a video of removing the rest of the components inside the lower housing or even the upper housing? I got something locked up below in the gears so I will have to pull them out. KEEP UP THE AWESOME VIDEOS!!!

I assume the nut that needs to be removed from the drive shaft is located inside the same housing as the prop shaft. Is the nut accessible by an open end wrench? Once removed, the entire drive shaft can pull up through the top?

I noticed that your shaft has the same brownish area just on the outside of the bearing. This area on my shaft is rough. Do you know if this area is an area that any of the prop shaft seals come in contact with?? Thanks Larry

Can you pull the prop shaft without removing the whole lower unit?

Beware! This must be an old bravo one. My bravo one is nothing like this and this made it look easy. Now I’m trying to figure out why there is no video for my bravo one! Beyond frustrating after spending a bunch of money

buddy i need help..the drive shaft bearing (race),coming down from the power head,has been spinning inside its housing,i put in a new (race) ,but it spins too,what is the solution to this problem? do they sell an over sized bearing race so that it fits tight in its housing?...thank u pal,awesome video.

I have a prop that the mechanic says is done,seized, and can't remove it from the shaft. The prop is a S/S and he wants to sell me a cast one. any way that can be removed besides trying to spray rust loosener? I told him a machine shop might be able to remover it. He insist is not coming out.
