Jax is so cruel. He's a bad friend, a bad husband, I can't imagine he's a present father. There really are no redeeming qualities for Brittany to stay around for.

But he’s always been like that and she has always known it. Yet she’s put up with so much emotional abuse and not only stayed with him, she’s defended him! He’s actually made her physically ill as well. There’s nothing to think about anymore, but she keeps holding on. The man isn’t fit for any decent woman.

For some reason, I get the sense that Jax's only redeeming quality involves his parenting skills. Some people are terrible human beings yet somehow manage to rise to the challenge of mother/fatherhood (usually bc narcissists see their child as an extension of themselves, so it's an ego thing to pour their best selves into their offspring). Of course, he'll still do irreparable damage to the kid by virtue of being a sh*tty person in other arenas.

If we have to have the Valley Season 2, it better come with serious changes. First, reduce the cast to just Kristen, Luke, promote Zack and Jasmine, and one or two new people. If there has to be a 5th person returning, I nominate Michelle. Brittany could come back but it has to be her alone and her divorce is either in process or finalized.

People are so cruel. There's no justification for how Jax treats Brittany, period. They BOTH chose each other, so he should do the work and show up as his best self. She's allowed to be more than a mom. having stomach ulcers years ago doesn't mean she can never drink again. We're not her doctor. Yes, we all know Jax is an a**, but just because she gave him a chance to change doesn't mean she's playing victim now.

My opinion is he’s not fake, just dumb and immature. If he were fake he’d be trying to do better for the cameras. He’s just a moody immature not super bright guy. To me it seemed like he really loved her as much as he was capable of. He also seems to be having a genuine mid life crisis and coming to terms with his looks fading (he mentioned it) and all the responsibility. And this is so sad but he didn’t seem to be attracted to her anymore which is gross but happens all the time :( Ans maybe her body doesn’t handle alcohol well. I think Janet and Michelle alluded to it too? Imo
