@Amazonian Hey thank you for making videos and please do a loot exuberant explorer and a sanguine bond exquisite blood with the new support for the combo :) But mostly loot hes adorbs and makes me happy :) Ps I am so excited to watch your foundations videos, theres a lot of nostalgia for me and I really enjoy watching these with my lady and some hot cocoa.

I'm not sure about the meta now, but there was definitely a point where I would attest Sythis was the best Commander in the format aside from maybe Kinnan. Early card advantage engines coming from the command zone are rough.

Sythis gets targeted because of the extra long turns while Kinnan is hated because goes infinite with a lot of stuff

Yeah but there’s also a lot more cheap interaction than there used to be. I’ve played a ton of Sythis over the last few days and a lot of her being good relys on your drawing the right cards for the matchup

A few years ago you made a brawl video with sythis, this was right around the time I was first getting into magic. I bought the virtue and valor commander precon after watching your video then began building sythis in arena. after a 66% winrate in hellqueue with her as an aura voltron deck I decided to build her in paper and she has been one of if not my favorite commanders in the game. Thank you for helping me to get into magic and helping me find my niche.

I play roughly this deck but with Yenna as the commander. Copying of Parallel Lives or Annointed Procession and then making billions of enchantments in a single turn is great fun.

The Constellation and Eerie cards that help you out when you reanimate, flicker, create tokens, or otherwise get enchantments onto the field without casting, are definitely getting more and more shine over the classic Verduran-style cast trigger now that enchantment tokens are more of a thing.

That Tamiyo back and forth was pure catharsis. Played against them before and that deck is quite sticky.

It was the Warlord of Kroog. Urza's father -in-law. The dropping of bombs came after the fighting started. The fighting started because Mishra, Urza's a-hole brother, dumped a bag of hands on the negotiating table to make a point. The hands belonged to Kroog nobility.

There needs to be some adjustment to penalize the people that excessively concede. Any card shop these people would be sitting in a corner alone with no one willing to play them.

I think that turn 0-3 concessions should make you wait ~5 minutes to play your next game.

@@Amazonian Some games really can be decided that quickly. I would not punish players who play decks with some hard counters for not wanting to waste their time (e.g. a non-counters creature deck into Maha). Even without hard counters, something like Mana Drain can decide the game on turn two and missing a land drop can decide the game on turn three

My most powerful paper commander deck is Tuvasa the Sunlit. Sythis is in it and it’s easy to see how powerful enchantment typle can be.

You said it without knowing, the problem with planeswalkers as commanders, you can run as many boardwipes as you want… its miserable and besides alchemy cards, is the worst part of brawl…😔

I really think despite how powerful sythis clearly is, she's undeserving of hell queue. She's not that oppressive and it's fairly easy to remove, unlike stuff like Kinnan or Marina that generate insane value immediately and have access to counterspells.

@artemused4363 yeah, yet another 5c commander that draws many cards on etb. If she allowed to grab only rooms or only 1 card it would be fine, but as is she's basically a less hated (7mv) atraxa. Obviously you can be silly and build simply as a rooms commander, but 5c goodstuff focused on enchantments and removal and Marina is just the reload hand button is where she becomes annoying. To be fair I despise almost all 5c commanders, so... What I mean is simply that there are much harder/more annoying things to deal with than Sythis (even one tuned to maximize protecting/growing her). She's kill on sight, but I'd much rather see Sythis than idk, Flip Etali or Cascade Snek
