Brawl Stars might REMOVE this feature. Duels is my absolute favorite mode in brawl stars, even if the maps right now are veryyy unfavorable. Some of the maps are really nice but a few of them obviously don't really work. I still think the mode is fun and I think it's necessary for players who want to play Solo, but don't want to play showdown because of teamers!

I like duels, but there's two reasons I don't play it much anymore 1. The new maps are much worse than the OG 2. (And hear me out) When I play duels, 80 percent of the players don't engage with me, instead they hang back and try to outcamp me instead. While this is encouraged more heavily with the new maps, I'm pretty sure it's always been an issue, and personally I don't find it fun waiting two minutes for the poison to set in to THEN have a cool battle, then rinse repeat.

And i agree with you players are toxic and supercell don't try to make the gamemore work, since it first appeared it didn't change to this day and now they are about to remove it and complain because it underperformed ,and dared to say the problem wasn't the maps 🎉

2) you could say the same for Knockout, but because it is 3v3, this doesn't happen often. They could try to speed up things with gas though, but not sure how this will change brawler picks

Duels is played a lot less since it became a permanent mode because the maps got worse

The only mode where you can't get bad randoms and teamers . Its only your skills. If it gets removed it will be definitely not good

Remember that one map that has 3x3 cluster of unbreakable blocks in the middle? (Iron core) Yeah, I played it and instantly hated my life, Supercell, it’s the maps not the game mode

Even though I didn't play duels I think that if frank and the dev team decided to remove the game mode just because it is not that popular it would kinda suck especially since it is not the game mode's fault that the maps suck or that people want to grind mastery.

A forgotten brawler I thought of was barley, now hear me out. Barley is pretty common in matches but I cant remember when I last saw him in his base skin, I always see him in his wizard barley skin since everyone has it. Please make a video where you compare the both skins and see whos better 🗿

Yeah, this would be interesting Also I want to see Volleyball, it was only once and long time ago already, and with so many assassins and controller brawlers in the roster this mode may become much more interesting. I believe they can do it, since they returned Basketball that first released with Volleyball

Another problem with duels is the actual quests for it, most of the time you don’t get them and even if you do, they are the difficult 500 token ones.

Difficult 500 ones are way better there not as fun but you get a massive amount of tokens and it's more fun if anything you should focus more on the 500 ones than the 200 or 250 ones or 300 forgot the amount

Also the other problem despite masteries, is that you can't push one brawler at a time which makes it too long to gain trophies with only one brawler, but also that you have to choose 3 brawlers, because depending on the map you maybe don't have 3 brawlers at the same trophy range

Duels might be underperforming because it's more available for us, rather then having a week for our favorite mode, we have all the time and opportunities to play it, so people started laking off, the more you have of something, the less you see of it.

If a brawl stars KZbinr, that doesn't even play clash royale that often, starts talking about how a game is getting into a bad "domino effect", that's the sign where the game developers should know that something should be changed about their game.

It could just be me but I find Duels really stressful and sometimes boring lol, Since: 1. you'd have to make a 3 brawler comp all by yourself. 2. People usually camp. 3. Since people usually camp, it's not that action packed as other gamemodes like brawl ball for example. 4. You can't really do anything about your counters. 5. Since only 2 players are playing, it sometimes feel not as lively as other gamemodes and I find that boring.

Nubbz speaks a lot of facts, Some of maps only based on like throwers like Iron Core where there is a Unbreakable walls in the center. Masteries should be buffed for duels also. Then it will be preforming better.

I hate basketbrawl (WHY DOES THE BALL BOUNCE HARDER THAN ANIME), but love Duels, and yes, MAPS ARE 100% THE REASON IM NOT PLAYING DUELS on top of the mastery stuff. The map is very highly tuned towards specific brawlers sometimes, like THEY BROUGHT BACK IRON CORE *TWICE* edit: (the old duel maps were really fun and good)

I doubt there ever will be a new game mode that succeeds as high as Showdown, Gemgrab and Brawlball. Simply because of habit, most people know how to play these modes, who to pick and what to do, when any new mode needs to break your old habits to fully realize how to play it. The only new popular modes since Global release were Siege (until it wasn't), Knockout, because it is similar to Bounty and Solo SD, so you kinda know how to play it from the start, Basketbrawl, because it is a Brawlball in disguise, and Hot zone... Well, this is the only one game mode that became popular with no similarities. I guess, people wanted this niche to be filled😅 I bet that if Bounty and Heist were not on the Global release, they would share a similar fate as SD+, Takedown, Wipeout, Present Plunder, Siege, Hold the trophy, Hunters... Fun modes that no one plays after a while because they don't break people's habits

The reasons are 1- maps are dogwatter 2- you dont feel like having progress 3-it feels like you are playing 3 different matchs Personal complain : they didn't try to improve the gamemode and it really disappoint me because like everyone i wanted a 1v1 mode but not this.

It's a temporary slot with game modes decided by community votes. So they will remove it one day or another, I bet people will eventually vote for other modes to be included. For example, I want to see Volleyball and Siege return one day, maybe also Takedown, since it is a faster version of Bounty
