A masked robber burgled an Apple store and stole over 40 iPhones - while a police car was parked outside.
The video was filmed on February 5 by a bystander on Bay St in Emeryville, California, USA.
The thief can be seen ripping over 40 iPhones from their charging cables before stuffing them down his trousers.
Bewildered customers watched as the man exited the store - walking past a vehicle from the Emeryville Police Department.

This is a huge fail attempt of theft since none of the display phones will work after stolen or unplugged from the wires. The phones put on display are specifically tracked by administrators who are responsible for the phones' condition and for ensuring that they are kept in the right place. So, in situations where any of the phone/(s) ends up being stolen, the tracker is activated and their functionality can fully be disabled by the administrator which results in them not working at all. LMAO

I can speak to this a bit. For employees they are not allowed to tackle or beat down robbers or chase down robbers. Now you ask why, it's because in the past there were lawsuits where the guy that steals things in the shops and got injured from a tackle or being touched. This lead to cases where the robber actually end up winning a court case and lead to hundreds of thousands of dollars being taken from the company or a million depending on the injury. This is why Walmart or any big markets tell their employees to not chase or tackle. For the normal people, it's more of not doing anything because 2 reasons, it's not their problem because it's Apples problem and there is a risk of getting injured of a robber. Being we don't know if he has a gun or a knife if he is willing to commit a robbery in the open like this then that means they are aware of the risk and is willing to take action. It's more of human instinct at this point. But even so, a lot of us know that those apple display cases are more of trackers. So those phones are actually kinda useless because they can be turned off the moment they are out of the cases.
