@@FuShengAlex Maybe before Brazil. France won 3-0 against Brazil because of what happened to Ronaldo, it made everyone in the team so scared that they just looked at him and warmed up looking at the French players. Then they conceded 2 headed goals.

If that world cup had a better final I have no doubt that it would had easily been considered the best at the time along with 1982 and 1970. A world cup with many fascinating matches, a lot of goals, many great teams (not a single big abscence), many great footballers (perhaps the largest amount ever along with 2006) and lastly a flawless tournament in terms of organization from the French with beautiful and crowded stadiums in almost every game

This SHOULD have been Nigeria vs Brazil. And had the Nigerian team not overlooked this Denmark team we could have had as close to a rematch of the Atlanta 96 Semi Finals as possible.

Nope, Denmark was a better team and proved it on 6/28/1994. Final score 1-4. Don’t forget Nigeria also lost to Paraguay in the final game of the group stage. They were not the Super eagles of 1996 and 1994.

Big lesson is focus on who is in front of you. As for the lost to Paraguay 🇵🇾 Nigeria already topped the group so they rested their players that 3rd game. But your right some key players from those 94-96 teams had retired by 98.

Dunga e Bebeto não deveriam ter sido convocados para essa copa fifa 98 eles não mereciam por que não estavam performando em alto nível, o treinador Zagallo cometeu vários erros o zagueiro Júnior Baiano sempre foi um atleta fraco em todos os aspectos e nunca era pra ter vestido o uniforme da seleção brasileira de futebol nem em amistoso e muito menos em um torneio de alto nível como a copa fifa, outro erro do Zagallo foi não escalar como titular o Denilson que neste período da Copa ele estava simplesmente imparável, outro erro do treinador brasileiro nesta copa 1998 foi ter cortado da lista de atletas o centroavante Romário já que o atleta estaria a disposição a partir da fase de oitavas de finais e pra terminar mais um erro do treinador Zagallo foi escalar o meia Leonardo pela direita quando o atleta é canhoto.

Levar um jogador que estaria em forma só nas oitavas de final seria burrice, o problema dessa copa foi ter colocado Ronaldo para jogar a final, o Brasil jogou a partida inteira com um a menos.

@@salomaosports verdade, o mesmo se aplica para 2002, apesar de ter sido campeão, o Brasil ganhou na base do talento, se Ronaldo tivesse falhado, mesmo que fosse só na final, as pessoas estariam até hoje falando que era para ter levado o Romário e apontando outros erros. A verdade é que o Brasil não consegue chegar a finais de copas do mundo sem times com talentos extremos, os técnicos brasileiros são fracos, e sempre foram, precisamos ter jogadores de altíssimo nível para conseguir avançar, agora que o Brasil tem seleções mais modestas, mas mesmo assim com bom jogadores, não consegue bater de frente com outras seleções, a gente viu a Argentina chegar a duas finais de copa do mundo com times modestos, com exceção do Messi, o Brasil não consegue esse feito.

@@felipeemanuel5790 Os treinadores brasileiros no futebol são limitadissímos e até ex atletas que tinham grande talento hoje comentam na imprensa e só flaam asneiras outros não estão na imprensa mas concedem entrevistas em podcasts e também só falam merda e sobre futebol as próprias carreiras é íncrivel. No Âmbito mais amplo, o futebol brasileiro vem sendo destruido por dentro e nenhum ex atleta enxergam e protestam até mesmo os que estão na politica e que podem agir.
