🔴*I hope you enjoy this instalment in my Brazil series, I shared a bit of everything in the video as I feel that diversity is Brazil's biggest attraction.* Brazil is full of so much love and diversity. I absolutely love this country and I am not just saying that - the people, the landscapes, the history and the food. A-Z it is wonderful. If you missed the last episode where I went deep into São Paulo (biggest city in Brazil and in the southern hemisphere - 20 million people) then you can watch that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWTTd4d_j9uXnpI If you want to follow the photo version of this trip, here is my instagram: instagram.com/indigo.traveller/ Thank you for watching, please leave me a comment below and share with me your thoughts on Brazil and the locations we visited in this video or anything else you feel like sharing for that matter. @@pauls8430 Hi Paul, I spoke about an important historical event in your nation's past, if that upsets you, I am sorry but it is reality. It doesn't mean anything towards the people of beautiful Brazil. And please feel free to go to New Zealand and make videos about the short falls it has. I would like that because hiding from reality really doesn't get you too far. Emotions can be deceiving. This video shows the good and bad. AKA, reality. If we forget or cover up the past, we are bound to repeat it. History teaches us that all the time. Again, thanks for watching and have a good one, Nick.

He is fine, but in that first video he missed so much information about the city, did not talk about the architecture of downtown, famous bars and restaurants.

Ive spent 6 months of my life in Brasil such a beautiful diverse country with beautiful landscapes and beautiful people. Don't flash your wealth, keep wise, stay happy and humble and attempt the language and youll make some friends for life. Ive seen much of brasil but that feeling you get when youre in Rio is unforgetable and its almost brought me to tears, the only othe place to do that was north Brasil in the cities in the Amazon. Love the video bro, although its not a written law its a common error to switch genders when saying thank you but men tend to say obrigado not obrigada but most people shorten the word anyway. Its good to see you in my favourite country.

Lovely scenes of Sao Paulo, Cubatao, Santos, Paraty etc. I'm Scottish and lived there for 18 years and used to go to the beaches around Santos most weekends. Paraty was one of my favourite destinations for long weekends and extended holidays.....it's so lush and tropical, by the sea, the islands and right next to the Atlantic rain forest with the ancient, "caminho de ouro," or gold trail, paved centuries ago by slaves, and with massive stone boulders leading the trail all the way from Minas Gerais to the coast. The gold and minerals were brought to Paraty where they were taken to the then capital, Rio de Janeiro and then onwards to Portugal. As an American male tourist mate, you need to man up a bit and learn at least the most basic of exchanges with the locals. As a guy, you need to thank people by saying, "obrigado," ending in the letter, "o," and not, "obrigada," ending in, "a," which is what a girl would say!! :) Well done for the beautiful images and great memories you brought back to me.

Been to São Paulo many times this past year to visit my girlfriend and her family. Been to many places around the city and the south and it really is a beautiful place and the people are so generous and sweet! So cool to see a series from on a country I’ve been to before haha I remember looking to see if you had done one on Brazil a while back and finally it is happening!

Tragic as it was, the explosion that killed over 500, by high octane gas accidentally released causing a huge fireball is NOT Brazil's Chernobyl !!!! That was NOT caused by faulty NUCLEAR power plant explosion still spewing radiation to this day, covered by a huge containment arc.

Nick, I am quite sure you have been at the slum Dhoravi in Mumbai ????

He's an "extreme traveller". He goes to the areas nobody is going. Despite what your comment says, most tourists come to Brazil to see the christ statue and bathe in copacabana - for them, that is the Brazilian identity. This channel is not about that. Sadly many people associate Brazil with disorganization for a reason... Look at the city center of Santos in this video: It's decrepit, ugly, disorganized, almost as a shadow of a great civilation that came before it. These neighbourhoods you mention are only a bubble inside of Brazil, and DO NOT represent the country. The average lower-class neighbourhood in New Zealand (where he came from) looks at least thrice as beautiful with more plants and less trash compared with your average upper-class Brazilian neighbourhood with 4-feet-high walls and worn out paint. And it's not only poverty. Some italian cities look HORRIBLE despite their wealth. Sadly Brazil is ugly because culturally we're not taught to value "the commons" - public space.

I’m a longtime fan and have enjoyed everyone one of your presentations....until now. What is the deal with Brazil? To start you show the favelas and the “rich areas with their swimming pools.” (Those apartments in the distance are not mostly rich people with swimming pools.) What about all the millions of people in Brazil who are neither rich nor poor. Brazil is not a county of only two extremes. And this title of this presentation??? You found a place that WAS the most polluted on earth. Why was that a priority? After spending over half of your last presentation showing poverty and drug abuse, two minutes into this one you’re showing slums and the “Valley of Death”. Brazil has lots of problems....like many other countries. But in most places you look beyond the negatives and stereotypes and here you’re digging for them. You “love this country.”??

@@darnh6012 apparently he IS presenting what interests him, which of course he can do. And I’m simply reacting to it. I’m questioning why, when he used to go beyond the headlines and stereotypes, he how focuses on exactly that. No average life, no families getting together at the beach, in apartment party rooms or at country houses. He seems to enjoy slumming.
