Hi there! I’m Brazilian and I can translate what the box says In the speech bubble, it says “I’m Gabby, let’s be friends!” The other bit in the front says “Just like the one from the movie!” And in the back, it says “Gabby is a doll that seems to have come straight out of her original ads from the 50s. But, for some reason, she spent decades in an antique store’s glass exhibition closet.”

Funny thing about thinkway, they did apparently make a GabyGaby signature doll, but target wasn’t interested in stocking it, thus was never manufactured (according to the Thinkway Facebook). Great review as always Dan!

That's super interesting, thanks for sharing that insight! I have no doubt she was discussed as a possibility there at Thinkway, but it's interesting to have it confirmed and that she was almost into production when no retailer would pick her up. Hey thanks for watching! Since she's been stored in the box all this time, the smell was just still extra strong when I unboxed her. But I bet if I displayed her out of the box, the smell would certainly fade over time. It's not awful, but it was a surprise for sure lol!
