World number ones the United States won their first Olympic gold medal in women's indoor volleyball by beating Brazil in three straight sets 25-21 25-20 25-14. Brazil claimed silver after missing out on the podium at their home Games at Rio 2016.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

And Kiraly clearly outplayed Antonov, not only offensively, but also defensively. Karch blocked Antonov's spike twice. After that, the game was virtually over.

I know nothing about pro volleyball but I randomly tuned into Brazil vs Korea during the pool stages. I saw one spike from Gabi and decided this was the team I was going to follow throughout! Olha, geralmente é isso mesmo.... mas dessa vez aí, claramente as americanas foram extremamente superiores.... a impressão que dava era que Brasil virou uma Coreia do Sul nas mãos das americanas.... em todos os 3 sets elas fecharam com folga. Não foi nada muito acirrado. Os comentaristas brasileiros disseram que enquanto as americanas estavam descontraídas, as brasileiras estavam tensas. E nessas horas, o psicológico boicota muito. But the Brazilian women's volleyball team is known worldwide and is two-time Olympic champion, you're not talking about amateur players, but about a team that has technique and that managed to qualify to compete in the Olympics. It has not yet been confirmed whether the player Tandara actually used doping and even if this is confirmed, this isolated case does not erase the countless victories that the brazilian team has already won in 2008 and 2012, and it also does not erase the efforts of other players who were not caught in doping and who struggled and played honestly to the final, even having to deal with all these problems that came up. If your team didn't play well in the Olympics to the point of qualifying for a final, it wasn't because of Tandara's doping accusation, but because they didn't play well, even because Tandara is a Brazilian player and not a player from your country.

Foi merecidamente, mas não concordo que é a melhor seleção. A Seleção americana de 2012 foi muito melhor do que essa. Eu não curto teoria da conspiração, mas achei essa vitória americana estranha. Dá a impressão que o Brasil deixou elas vencerem. Brasil não perdeu nenhum jogo antes da final, achei que as meninas iam ficar abaladas com a saída da Tandara, mas mesmo assim atropelaram a Coréia na Semifinal, chegaram à final invictas, mas na hora de jogar apresentaram um volume de jogo MUITO inferior aos jogos anteriores. Pareciam que estavam brincando. Em nenhum momento do jogo pareciam estar angustiadas por estar perdendo, muito calmas o tempo todo. E quando o jogo acabou pareciam tranquilas demais. A seleção dos EUA não foi tão impressionante, perderam de 3 a 0 para as russas, que depois foram derrotadas pelo Brasil. Não tenho certeza de nada, mas achei que as americanas venceram fácil demais essa final contra o Brasil.

O Volei americano é o único esporte coletivo no país que NÃO tem uma liga profissional! As atletas são formadas nos campeonatos universitários organizados pela NCAA! Nosso vôlei teve um péssimo desempenho nessas olimpíadas, com o masculino sequer conseguido a medalha de bronze e as duplas de praia não conseguindo avançar até as semifinais!
