As brazilian i will explain that we have a kind of (cultural) perfectionism with stuff that we like as hobby. I mean if we like an artist, we have such a strong passion for it that we want to show and thank them somehow. If you go to a concert here and you don't know the lyrics (sing along) for their music it's a shame and it's like you weren't welcoming the artist, it's a really bad impression. We don't do it to be a" special" fandom, we would do it anyway it's a part of us.
