@KingJaffeJoffer99 u haven't understood what I said 95% of the games City play are against low blocks, packed in their penalty box trying to defend which in turn gives Rodri more space since there is no one who presses him highly It's a very very rare occurrence where teams decide to press City aggressively like Liverpool and when that happens, RODRI gets caught on the ball far too many times I swear. But ppl don't talk about it much cause as I said, he doesn't get pressed as much

not the greatest in tight spaces, struggles to evade pressure, poor short passing, virtually non-existent progressive passing, not creative, doesn't threaten in the final third, engages in too many duels (loses majority), error prone, poor aerially and commits way too many fouls... i dont know what ineos are thinking with this one ngl

he's good at keeping the ball in tight spaces and long switches mate, can carry the ball through spaces when needed, he just plays too safe and not very progressive in passing but it's good for keeping ball retention, btw sometimes making poor decisions in passing after winning the ball back, so he needs a good progressive ball playing midfielder as a partner in the double pivots which Mainoo can perfectly do

😂😂 Like how did you come to this conclusion? Because season before last he also was the manager with the most clean sheets in the Premier league and one of the best defensive records in the league. Don't write off having your entire back line decimated with injuries as a minor complaint no coach can survive that especially when trying to build a new playing culture and style. Even Klopp without VVD underperformed same thing when he didn't have a good midfield and you think it shoud be different for a manager in his second season with less that 50% of his defenders.
