I did this one day when I wanted to get rid of the grains/hops I had on hand, I didn't have any yeast and the local HBS is about 90 minutes each way. I made a 5 gallon batch and have to say it was pretty tasty.

I made extract beer with Polish Turbo-Yeast. It also turned out nice'n tasty.
