there arent really rules, but the top teams do occasionally yeah. they just agree no OOB like ap clip with the exception of bugged items like things inside kitchen counters

Because if your going for any records using outside game chat like discord would be cheating.

It's kind of cheaty to do so because of the in-game mechanics. Using the in-game voice chat makes it harder to communicate with players from far away and you will need to find other ways to know what is going on with them. Also Eyeless Dogs are blind, so they're only able to attack you if they can hear you- they can hear no VC sounds as well such as footsteps and dropping items but talking when around them makes things more interesting and can also be used against them too. All in all, it is just way more fun and immersive to use the in-game prox chat.
