For more information you can watch ‪@BenEater‬. He has some great videos about breadboards!
Breadboards are simple devices that are very helpful in prototyping and learning about circuits. They allow us to assemble a circuit without the need to solder or design a PCB. This is very good when we need to quickly check if something works or prototype something. That is why they are also sometimes called protoboards.
The main elements of a breadboard are the connection holes and the plus and minus busses on the sides. The connection holes in one row are connected together in groups of five. The holes in the busses are all connected and are usually used to deliver power to the circuit built on the board.
Often breadboard strips have male and female dovetail notches so boards can be clipped together to form one larger breadboard. Also, It is useful to have some jump wires on hand to connect the components easily.
Hello ‪@ElectroBOOM‬ what do you think about breadboards?

Important note: some boards may have different configurations of connections. For example some can be split like so: wiring.org.co/learning/tutorials/breadboard/ I should have mentioned this when explaining the power buses!

0:45 you forgot to mention that the + - power lines are splited in half (in for both)

Do you mean that for example the + line is split in the middle? I think this depends on the board, some are split and some are not. Or Do you mean that the + bus on one side is separate from the one on the other side? (Top + separate from bottom +). This is true of course

@@V_Electronics Yeah I have 2 large breadboards and I always forgot about that splited section on the power lines and I had to bridge them if I was powering more circuits. Now idk if this applies to all of them but most of the mseems to have the side power lines reparated in half.

@@piano_arts_2007 I think you're right. thanks for your comments, I didn't know there are boards with gaps (:

@@piano_arts_2007 All of mine didn't have gaps (thats why I didn't know). I even have one with no power buses
