Just to make it better. One glow is usually not bright enough and does not really illuminate the scene, but it's up to you whether you want to duplicate it or not

Great tutorial, but I'm facing an issue. I have 200 frames, and would like the explosion to gradually build up. My particles are already exploding on frame 50, how can I make the explosion to last longer? I cant figure out the force of physics section. Thanks in advance.

You can move the second keyframe forward in time so the animation happens slower, also you could adjust the graph so it leans to the right instead

To target specific areas you need to add masks to them and set composite settings of the layer to that mask. Select the layer and press E
