Beautiful cards and great techniques. All the "muds" look great, IMO! I actually create the brown/mud accidentally sometimes, and it's usually just fine! My favorite: the dotty card! TFS!!

Nice presentation and examples. The serious painters I've seen often make their own, more interesting, browns by mixing complements-or NEAR complements, as few media provide pure hues. The purple you use has a LOT of red, which produces nice blends with a yellow-orange. Transitions betweeon colors that, if visually isolated, would indeed look brown don't grab the eye as much as browns created when randomlly smooshing ink.

My two favorite comments: ". . . get the paper really saturated because that's how the inks meet and get friendly" (made me laugh, but so true); "Splatter is a great way to hide an imperfect blend" -- what a great tip, even if the CC said "bladder" instead of "splatter"! Even though you create “mud” with your blending, your cards are still bright and colorful. It’s your super power!! When you clean your stencils, do you use a baby wipe, dry cloth or was it in the sink?

Some of those combos are pretty cool, some I don’t really care for. I must say though, you always use them in ways that showcase their best qualities! I find it interesting that some of your “muddy” blends are a better brown, IMHO, than the regular brown colors. I love brown and need to have rich, deep colors of them. Thanks for sharing!!

Love all of these. How do you clean your stencils? I am enjoying playing with stencils.

To clean ink off, I just rinse them. For acrylic paint, I try to get to them quickly with warm soapy water. This one I didn't get to quickly enough, but after I made the video, I let it soak for a while and got most of the paint off. Thanks for watching!
