I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Tonight (March 31, Lent 4), I attended a Lent service at my church. The pastor's sermon was based on this Scripture. It was entitled "Forgiveness." I am thankful that I was able to attend this service as I missed last week due to hospitalization. Also, the hymn, "God, When Human Bonds Are Broken," written by Fred Kaan (1929-2009), is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination.
