I thought it was an overly complicated kind of thing and was daunted by it, then I watched an old shitmat video a few years ago and it was basically this lol Glad you are sharing the techniques. Can be time consuming but always worth it. Overlappin can be good also, and transposing an amen all the way up is a cool digital sound.

your doing what we used to do with wave editors akais and emus back in the day.. im a sound designer in the experimental musick world but i used this trick for four sample heavy albums in 92-93 great methodology

Using different kicks/snares from the same drumloop is a great tip

Simple but very efficient to live things up. Machine gun repeat style is also great sometimes tho ;-)

0:35 In Ableton 11 you have to drag up and down on the lower right text window beneath the pitch knob in the clip window to detune. Most of you probably already know this, but in case you're a dumbass like me then hopefully this helps!

It still exist but it's a bit hidden, it's right under the "Transpose" parameter.
