Taraji has always had a special place in my life. She grew up down the street from me and went to and graduated from the same high school as me, my father, and his brothers. My uncle even graduated a year before her and both my dad uncle had classes with her, shout out Oxon Hill High go clippers! Fun Fact: Taraji is a distant relative to a man named Josiah Henson who escaped slavery from Maryland to Canada who has a book written about him by Harriet Beacher Stowe, who also assisted with the founding of the University of DC with the funds of the book. Both Josiah and Taraji are both related to the famous Black explorer who voyaged the Artic’s first expedition named Matthew Henson. Matthew was the half-brother of Taraji P. Henson's great-great grandfather, Joseph Henson. The Henson family hailed from Nanjemoy, a very small village in Maryland south of Washington, D.C. where the Henson family lived for at least three generations. Life is truly crazy.

Phelps is your soulmate (and that doesn’t have to be an intimate thing) my soulmate was my friend Donna she transitioned when we were in our 30’s after she passed the whole they were gay thing came out. That was MY FRIEND and I MISS HER.
