Man this is really really what I needed to see bro! My pocket been on fire but I’m getting close to that live rig. Does the block come in bigger format? You killed that show btw! Really dope You should be real proud bro

Kinda new-ish to modular, but I'm still confused AF as to how you were switching sets so easily in the live set with the Voltage Block. I looked it up and it's a sequencer, but you were using it like a master preset recall. I'm here like, "what sorcery is this?"
@YrjoPuska7774 жыл бұрын
HOLY F! I did not know you can change the sequences on track mute screen on mpc live! Damn this changes everything, now i dont need to change sequences with program changes if i dont want to switch between track mute and main screens. Meaning i can now use program changes to change tracks instead and do that also on the track mute screen!

Wow! Excellent setup! What’s driving sto? Is there gate/cv direct to module & sequenced by mpc? Vca have got just ch1 & 4 summed up same for envelope? Absolutely love your live set! Does the VB can save your recall when off? I dont own one.. How about cv/gate sequence how does that work on mpc? Simpke as setting up 4/4 cv/get tracks? Finally do yiu run any samples from the mpc?
@AliTheArchitect4 жыл бұрын
Yo whats up! Mpc > mutant brain> sto thats the signal flow of midi to cv/gate. The vca ch1 and 2 are used by the sto variable and sub outs with the same envelope from zadar then mixed out to the grand terminal for filering and effects. Mutant brain is handling the midi to cv so midi cable from mpc to MB then i have 4 channels of midi to cv/gate plus 8 extra gate/trigger/clock outputs. I did run 2 samples one on track 4 recorded from the virus ti2 and also the horns on the last track are from the virus ti 2 i didnt want to bring it so just sampled it!

Man, so many gems! So grareful for your insight and thank you for sharing. Just realized the the potential of using VB without a clock on my last IG video (@cvd0p3) Do your voices maintain/save tuning when powered off or are you tuning at each power cycle? What are you sending through the dipole? Are you changing the state of any of your FX when you change sequences?
@AliTheArchitect4 жыл бұрын
Yo yo what up bro! Everything is tuned to C the only problem module was STO. It has a very loose freq knob so i just made sure it was right on power up. I also put stickers on all the voices to mark the general area of C to make it easier. Rings and bell are going through Dipole. There were many switches to the effects but i did those by hand. I forgot to mention that i had notes for every track on my phone stating where effects should be along with grand terminal settings and others.

Hey! On the Mutant B - have you had to map differently than the default (other than a gate with 24ppm) Is this something you coukd share by any chance? Thanks
