I have one and LOVE it. Also, big plus, the DAC built into this guy sounds better than the DAC in my Marantz home theatre receiver. I used RCA's (using the DAC in the Bluedento) and then switched to an optical cable (to use the DAC in the receiver) and it sounds noticeably better (cleaner, less bright, and fuller bass/mid-range) than the Marantz. It is a wonderful piece of geat to add to a system. Great review by the way!

This unit is becoming one of my favorite Bluetooth receivers. I have been using it with a Schitt Modi 3. Sounds excellent on my old Marantz. Cheers.

It's top notch. I have this as a receiver to an Avantree Audikast Plus Bluetooth Transmitter connected to a TV. Latency is absolutely brilliant between these two devices, what a match. The BLT HD makes my Logitech Z130's sound louder and more enhanced using the RCA connections at the back which undoubtedly outputs that same 2 volts RMS level as the Audioengine B1 which I also have. Streaming Blu ray discs to the BLT HD sounds so crisp and it seems to be completely without that annoying latency problem. We are dealing with Bluetooth 5.0 here so absolute minimal latency should be the result.

Hi buddy, completed my test with my neighbour this weekend, and man what a weekend, as I explained before I'm now using the blue dento hd and my neighbour is using the audioengine b1, my set up is roksan with dynaudio speakers, he's using creek amplifier with B&W speakers, both sounded beautiful,the audioengine really sounded great on his rig,we played various genre's to get out ears tuned in,after about an hour,we both realised the blu dento really is a smasher,my guess is the I was getting was probably due in part to the rca a lead I was using,I used the atlas equator mk3,he ran industry standard come in the box sort of thing,so for me my total cost was £135 of which 75 was the blue dento,the audioengine cost him 169,conclusion is these are both winners in the sound stake,but for me the blu dento wins on price value,and I also think the younger will find the blu dento lively with Morden music,win win my friend.

Yes in my listening the b1 was a flatter sound, but crisp. The Bludento was a bit more upfront sounding. Using my homemade RCSs. I must say when I bought the b1 I was sure it would be the best overall, especially since they cost so much more. I don't usually fall into that trap where more cost is better sound but as learned that is not always the case.😉 Thanks for your comment, I'm sure this may help some people out. Cheers.....

I have just bought the Bludento BLT2. The specs look the same with the same Brown Burr chip. It’s Bluetooth 5.1 and not 4 as you stated. I am about to connect to my Technics amps cassette inputs. I will let you know how it sounds. It seems remarkable value at under £60 off eBay and it only took a week to reach me in the UK.

@@breakerbroke23 been listening to the BLT2 using my iPhone 11 with Apple Music for a day and absolutely love it. My amp is a 20 to 30 year old Technics class AA. If I am being picky I would say not quite as spacious as my good quality turntable and CD player but not far off and it’s still a brilliant performance especially as it was under £60. Very easy to set up and clear instructions with all the cables provided but I used my own better quality RCA cables and a longer better power cable.

I have 2 of the BLU DENTO BLT 2's. Very happy with them. Ordered from another source and was able to specify a different Bluetooth name for the 2nd one. Therefore easy to keep separate on my devices when pairing. Factory communication to do this and they were great about it. Haven't heard this HD unit but can't imagine that it would be any better than BLT 2. Have heard the Audioengine unit and couldn't tell the difference. Two BLU Dento's or one Audioengine,,,,no brainer.

I'm really a noob when it comes to this audio stuff. If using the optical output on the BluDento bypasses the internal DAC, am I better off using the RCA jacks if I don't have an external DAC unit? All I have is an old Denon A/V unit that has optical ports.
@breakerbroke234 жыл бұрын
If you have optical in put on your Denon I would try it, I would also try your RCA inputs as well. Would be interesting to see witch one sounds better. BluDento BLT HD or Fiio BTR3k for home use?
@breakerbroke233 жыл бұрын
I have no user experience with the Fiio product. I looked it up and it looks good, I think it is more suited for portable operation, it can power headphones (does not look like it will drive full sized headphones enough due to its low power output rating ) and has balanced output, most all receivers are RCA (unbalanced) inputs and I don't much care for battery operated units for a permanent home installation. So overall I would go with the BLT. IMHO
@paulstancel97313 жыл бұрын
@@breakerbroke23 Thanks for the reply! I think I will go with the BLT. I was contemplating the Audioengine B1, but from your comparison I think the BLT will be sufficient for my application. I will be streaming AAC anyway. Thanks again for the reply and helpful videos. Take care!
