I had just found a video of yours about Bluetooth receivers from 4 years ago. In the comments from that video you mentioned that you'd update the list with a new video next month. Now, I come here and I see that your latest video is only 2 weeks old! 4 years and you're still going and still updating, that's great! Thank you! :)

Thanks for this very informative video! Are you referring to sound quality with each unit's built-in DAC? I have owned both the Bludento HD and the ifi Zen Blue V2. IMO, the sound quality is way better when using outboard DACs, such as the Schiit Modi 3, AUNE X8, or SMSL SU9pro for example. IMO, the Zen Blue V2 is the best sounding by a significant margin, very close to the audio quality of my Wi-Fi streamer. IMO, the ifi Zen V2 Blue Bluetooth streamer is the one to get. I sold the Bludento HD because over time, I began to notice the music sounded like it was partly composed of noise, and once I noticed that effect, I couldn't unhear it. Thanks for your efforts putting this video together!

Love your videos. I started BT Streaming with the Logitech and didn't know any better yet no complaints. A few years ago I saw your video and bought the BlueDento B2. I still use it today on system #2, no complaints. Shortly after I bought the Blue Dento on the used market I came across the iFi Blue Zen V1 for $25 and haven't looked back. If anyone comes across an IFi product used and at a deal buy it. I do need to upgrade the software though. Has anyone done this? Keep up the good work...

I like the video but it is not clear what are the best sounding hifi quality. If you compare not by price what are the top 3? Also it is not clear if the Zen V2 is great on sound or just military grade build quality. I will apreciate more clarity on audio quality. As you mention in other video best chip or latest technology means better sound. I was before this video between the fiio B13, the smsl, and now not sure if the zen sound better or is better build. Thanks in advance

All of these devices sound good, the BR13 just made the cut sound wise and that EQ setting is very good compared to others that "tried" this feature. For lack of a better word the BR13 doesn't have good channel rejection or rejection to interference coming from other devices. If I had to choose between the BR13 and SMSL, I think the SMSL would be the way to go. (BR13 is great if your on a budget want good sound and doesn't feel like a toy) The Auris (both models), ifI, Audioengine, Bludento, Slash3/6, are all within one or two clicks + or- on the Bass and Treble controls sound wise. Honestly I would be not telling the truth if I picked just one as the best sounding device. I have been close a few times, or so I thought. There is always that one track that was recorded, remastered (or not) in such a way that on one device it sounds great and another that track is trash. Cheers

@ thanks for taking the time to respond. I’m also a radio fan. I would like to ask for just one last thing. If is not the new zen or any above the $200 what would be your 2 picks ? Less interference and great sounding. ? I have a lot of interruptions while playing my sons from my iPhone in to the Wiim ultra for example. I tried to lower the weight and quality of the sons and even do they get interrupted. But that doesn’t happens if play from Spotify. I have been deliver some radio spots to be streamed on Spotify and they request 1 megabyte maximum 192k mp3. I don’t want to find that I expend $165 for the ( for example) ifi zen V2 and have the same issues.

BLT-HD is my top pick. It sounds almost identical to the Audioengine B1 without the bloated price. Audioengine is a great product but priced to attract the upper end user. Back in the day when I sold audio gear I would see this a lot. Some think the price tag defines sound quality, this is not always true. That being said, stay away from the low cost plastic boxed BT receivers. Seen it, been there:)

Hello there, How well did the mypin aged? Is it still a good option at this price range, or have you encountered others better?

Two years ago I gave one to a friend that uses it 24/7 at his shop. Zero complaints.

How do you feel about the 1mi line of receivers?

I have had a few various 1Mii products, the only one that I liked and see the lowest returns rate is the LAVAUDIO DS200Pro . That was a nice sounding device.

I had the DS200pro, ran fine however a bit bright for my taste. I donated it before I made this video. The 200 would be good for a flat sounding system due to speakers or xxxx. ie speakers whit paper tweeters and most every BOSE speaker made:)
