I purchased these new in 1988. Kicker Contender S12 box. Twin twelve inch and horns box. Running a Zapco amp and Blaupunkt berlin deck. Worked very well and pretty high end at the time.

Just picked up a pair of 10’s on Amazon for a nice price. I have it in a ported box tuned to 33hz. These sound great. Good SQ. And it hits deeper bass nicely. Love the nostalgia!

A lot of goofy comments by even goofier people. These are excellent subs for the money. And NO. The average car audio kid is absolutely not running legitimate "800 watt RMS" setups, never. 2 of these with a HCCA would make an amazing setup for dirt cheap.

Can I ask a question off topic??? I need help!!! How do I wire an old school Memphis M3 quad coil 1ohm subwoofer to the lowest possible impedance, but preferably wired to 1 ohm. I will be running this 15 by itself on a Kicker 3600 watt that's 1ohm stable.

Wire 2 coils in series. Then wire the other 2 coils in series. After that wire them in parallel for a 1 ohm load.
