Breakfast and Dinner Buffet Tour RIU Palace Riviera Maya Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

In this video, we take you on a Breakfast and Dinner Buffet tour at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! At the breakfast, there is so much to choose from, from custom omelets, fresh fruit, and delicious dessert pastries! You will not go hungry! Likewise, at dinner, RIU hosts a different themed dinner each night of the week. You’ll get to enjoy Indian, Asian, International, Seafood and much more!
RIU will do their best to cater to different dietary requirements. Just ask one of the chefs if you have any preferences or requirements. We did notice a few gluten free and dairy-free alternatives in the buffet.

My wife enjoys the typical green juice - here’s the recipe, in case anyone was wondering- Cancun Green Juice Makes approximately 4 servings 12 ounces pineapple juice 12 ounces orange juice 3 ounces (about 2/3 cup diced) nopales (Prickly Pear cactus) 2 stalks celery 1/4 cup parsley leaves, lightly packed 1. Place all the ingredients in the blender jar and puree until smooth.

@@peggy-ann1961 ohh gotcha. I really like the RIUs , but one thing about RIU is the nightlife is, meh… Bahia has much better parties and nightlife! For the most part they’re pretty similar though. I would give a slight edge to RIU for food. But again Bahia is still really good.

Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I have not found any restaurants information on their website. I am wondering whether you know the operating hours for dinner buffet? Going there in December, flight will be there a little late, so want to see if can catch dinner.

Dinner is usually served until 9-10 ish, but if you miss it, you can still order room service 👍🏻👍🏻

Not at this resort! It’s first come first serve. Usually if you have to wait, it’s only 10-15 mins from our experience.

Some nights they will have a Japanese inspired buffet with sushi, but not every night 🤷🏼‍♀️

Both ! Try some a la cartes, whichever sounds good for your tastes. They are quiet and more intimate. Also, the buffet is awesome too! Much more noisy and busy but still delicious.

Is the food better or the same in rprm than the Rui palace Mexico .. and in the rprm is there lots of seafood ?? Which buffett did you prefer out of the 2 please

They are basically the same! The food is excellent at both. They have seafood stations at both buffets. 👍🏻

Ours was included in our package - but we sometimes use Canada Transfers and they’re great!

Right now sept 21, I’ve seen pictures of crystal clear beaches. That could change quickly. Best to check out the RIU palace Facebook groups for the latest photos.

Great Video, good Info... new follower now...! We went to Breathless Cancun 2 years ago and was disappointed with that resort, Seem like all the staff expected a tip... and the food and service was below average... did you experience this at this resort with staff expecting tips?

Not at all! We found the staff at this hotel to be kind and very attentive 👍🏻 I’m sure there’s a few bad apples in the bunch, but for the most part, we found the staff to be great 👍🏻

You pick up your towels at a towel hut located on the pool deck 👍🏻 we haven’t been to Jamaica yet - but we’d love to go one day! We love Mexico so much that we keep wanting to go back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

Oh really 🤔 we remember the food at RP Mexico being really good! They both have very similar buffets, both with a great variety and quality of food 👌🏻

We didn’t see any specific vegan sections, but you might be able to ask the staff to make you vegan options 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes - the first 10 minutes of this video is all breakfast ☝🏻 maybe you missed it? 🤔 There are tons of different egg options, bacon and omelette stations.

They’re both good - and also keep in mind that this was filmed during the pandemic, so the buffet was not operating at 100%
