TabiEats, Shinishi and Satoshi, I have watched your dinner haul and breakfast haul videos. I have enjoyed all very much. Thanks for your efforts. They made me subscribe. You have a nice chemistry, like Simon and Martina(but refreshingly unique). I would like to see more of both, BUT I would like to see you try foods of which you are less familiar and out of your "comfort zone." My hope is that each of you might discover something different that pleasantly surprises both of you. Looking forward to more! Thanks, again.

TabiEats I went to the Lawsons in Hawaii and tried some things you guys suggested, it was a small store and I am sure there would be more to choose from in Japan but what I did try was tasty, the Hawiian pudding, onigiri, shaved ice and a few others, thanks guys Mahalo

Japan has the most awesome convenience stores. I saw a documentary about Japanese konbini and they mentioned Lawson (and others) branching off into niche markets like young children and mother oriented stores and natural, organic ones. It may not have been a great success (as you mentioned, they're toning down on the Natural stores) but it's great that they tried to enter smaller markets. I got snacks and food for supper at the closest konbini (there were 3 just below the apartment we rented) every night. I remember this awesome Royce (of Nama chocolate fame) collaboration with a local baker which produced a chocolate roll filled with the most delicious cream. It was only around for a few days but it was great!

First time I tried natto, I didn't like it at all, maybe because I didn't know how to add the sauces to it. I gave it another chance and now I love it. I can get it pretty easily here in HK and have to have some in my fridge at all times. Yum.

Love you guys! Just discovered you and I'm happy to say that even after living in Tokyo (from Canada) for many years I'm still learning, and you've taught me some stuff I didn't know! If you ever want to hang out let me know. 😀 One thing that is interesting is that Lawson's has recently started using English on their products, so for visitors coming here who don't read Japanese, this is very helpful. I think 7/11 is as well but Lawson's is way ahead.

So glad I found your channel. I love Japanese food, but am only exposed to what I can find in resturants and stores in the US so there is a lot I'm unaware of. I apreciate how you not only go over the food but describe textures and flavors. Also, thank you for explaining the raw egg. I've seen several videos and shows with people eating raw egg and I was curious how it was safe.

I have to agree that I don't care much for mixing raw egg with rice. I liked it as a child though when my mom would mix raw egg into our Korean bibimbap, which had a tendency of being a bit dry so it made it easier to eat. However, I feel like one day I need to try tamagokake gohan with just rice, raw egg, and soy sauce. lol I can imagine what it tastes like though, so I can see why Satoshi-san likes it. I love natto, too, Satoshi-san~~~ When I first tried it, I didn't care for it much but I didn't think it was disgusting. Even the smell isn't that bad (the Korean version of natto, cheonggukjang, is much more pungent lol The stew you make using it is actually quite delicious. Have you guys ever tried it?). However, as I kept eating it, I started to really love it. haha Natto is so cheap there. T_T Here in the US, I think the cheapest I've ever bought it was when it was on sale at the Korean market and even then, it was around $0.99. I love Lawson~~ I miss it so much! Thanks for this video! haha I love these types of videos from you guys~ Onigiri video please~! haha

where is the difference between creamy and thin. It is like Yoplait in Mainland America and I don't think I would use Hawaiian Brands to compared to Mainland America. I found in Japan that I did not like this style of yogurt I made my own Greek yogurt at home. I like satoshi's breakfast much more because the other one has a green juice and yogurt and thinks that three bread selections is fixed I guess because there were two healthy things. Yogurt can be high in calories depending on how much fruit how much sugar excetera. That's why I make my own and if you can get young coconuts in Japan we get them imported here in Portland Maine then you can make a beautiful quick coconut yogurt that is very thick. Dr. Elizabeth

Hi Shinichi and Satoshi! You mentioned the price of the bread roll before and after tax. Is Japan like the US in that regard, where they list a price and then slap you with a tax at the checkout? Or is the list price tax-inclusive? Or does it depend on the item in question?

In my opinion Tamagokake gohan isn't that difficult to pronounce. And definitely no tongue twister. I have much harder times pronouncing something like 裏庭には二羽庭には二羽鶏がいる。 or 李も桃も桃のうち。 And I think my favourite was Satoshi's miso soup. Simple but always good and delicious. For the next time .. maybe the 100Yen store. Or the Onigiri tour .. eeeeeeto ... No I think I will stick with the 100Yen store (^.^)!
