Erewhon cracks me up. Pretty much all the food looks decent but not extremely exceptional, similar to what you'd get at any nice grocery store. You can very much get much better value for your money from other places, including actual high end restaurants. The thing is Erewhon is betting on their regulars believing that more money equals better quality, and everyone else going once for the novelty. Either way they're making *bank* with mid food.

7:55 You can get good chorizo at any Mexican grocery or even homemade quality at small carnicerias all over SoCal. Then just buy a 50¢ potato. You can easily fry up both and have 5x the amount of food for a fraction of the price. Probably more authentic flavors too.
