I spend the day exploring the Mesopotamian Marshes of Iraq, a unique wetland area where the locals live on water in houses made from the reeds. I eat breakfast with an Iraqi family and get invited into a fascinating meeting place.

Hey all, quick apology for the time taken to upload this video since the last one. I've been travelling in some remote places shooting more content for the channel. The good news is that I now have a window to edit up all the remaining vlogs from Iraq - lots coming in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the marshes of Iraq, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. Now imagine sitting down to a delicious breakfast with local residents, enjoying traditional Iraqi dishes and learning about their way of life. Breakfast with locals on the marshes of Iraq is a truly unique experience that allows you to connect with the people and culture of this fascinating region. You can try dishes such as masgouf, a grilled fish that is a staple in Iraqi cuisine, along with fresh bread, olives, and other local specialties. As you eat and chat with your hosts, you will learn about their daily routines, customs, and traditions. You may even have the opportunity to go out on a boat ride through the marshes, exploring this ancient and mysterious landscape. This immersive breakfast experience is not only a chance to enjoy delicious food, but also to forge connections with the people of Iraq and gain a deeper understanding of their lives and culture. It is an experience that will stay with you long after you have finished your meal, and one that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for this beautiful and resilient country.
