I will say that in seeing coach Fontes tell that draft day story you can see him totally light up emotionally. There was a special bond between coach Fontes and Barry Sanders that most fans dont appreciate or know about.

Wow, very nice video. Thank you very much. In criticism, the story about the cigars on draft day 89 has already been told. I would have liked to hear about some of the changes made during his tenure. Specifically, why the lions let go of pat swilling and broderick thomas and went away from the 3-4 defense he always favored. Im curious if he was pressured to make the change by bill ford jr. Coach Fontes is absolutely one of my all time favorite people in sports, and its a real treat whenever he
