Since this particular scenario is one I wrote, that makes me extra happy to hear! Originally, it was going to take place in a "post-apocalyptic" setting. Then while writing, it suddenly seemed a lot more interesting to consider what the world would be like if the dust hadn't yet settled. 😁

Thank you! I was inspired to write this one after coming across a couple of discussions about yandere androids, and then getting to wondering about what it would happen if we made them a self-aware yandere. I find that scripts where yanderes experience inner conflict to be much more interesting to voice. Though, it is also fun to voice not-so-contemplative ones every now and then. 😄

I hope in the future you make a part two because I need to see where this goes now, and also Yandere android is amazing, I love it when he slowly realizes that he is feeling (or not releasing he is showing) emotion over the listener and goes kinda off the walls for a bit once releasing it, I hope to god we can see more of that if you ever write more for this! I loved this so much, and love you work in general, but WOW, I can’t believe I missed this one, this is amazing work!

So let me see if I understood everything: humans created androids to assist them in daily tasks, most likely androids were revealed and humans escaped or were killed by their androids, the protagonist's android is a flawed one and probably has emotions, apart from it has us captive and every time our android has a "malfunction" he can see reality... Also 11:00 I don't hate you, I'm just afraid of you and those are two different emotions.

There's a little more to the story that I haven't gotten around to writing yet, but you're on the right track. One of the things that led to the robot revolution here is the development of an artificial emotion processor. Something I plan on exploring eventually is the fact that our android friend doesn't have one of those.

Wow as horrible as it would be to live in this reality the owner in the story is pretty dumb. they shouldn't let this machine continue to have these thoughts and delusions . If anything it could turn out worse in the end and they should confront them to accept the new reality. The course of action previously mentioned could end poorly also but maybe the robot caretaker might keep enough of its sanity not to kill them by over dosing with "coffee". Anyway loved the short story. Hope the main character is okay.

@@goatsontrains Funny enough, I just wrote a community post about that topic! The VA behind "Tim's Voices" did reach out to let me know about his performances and is crediting me as I requested. I also randomly came across a performance of it by "Ula ASMR", and they did credit me in the description, but hadn't notified me about it. The version by "Dark apostle's ASMR" was also reported to me, and it does credit me in the description, though they also did not notify me. If there are any others, please let me know! I've been randomly discovering recordings of my scripts, and while this one is free for others to use, I do ask that they credit me and let me know when they post their performances! EDIT: Just realized I should explain how the scripts work! They are often posted to certain sites, and there are rules about how they may be used posted with them. I have shared a handful of scripts I wrote with the rules that they need to credit me (standard for script authors) and that they need to let me know about the performance (most script authors ask for this). EDIT 2: Also forgot to mention that "Sadako Ch. 鶴島貞子" provided appropriate credit, and indirectly notified me using the "@NaughtPlusZero" tag in their video description.

Please allow me to extend a warm welcome then! 😊 For the android voice, this particular one was created by applying a "chorus" effect using three "choral voices" on a very short delay, at a high modulation rate, and with a narrow stereo width. For a while I was experimenting with applying a reverb to the chorus, which creates a more "hollow" sound, before ultimately deciding to stick with the chorus alone since a listener had previously commented about wanting less-intense voice effects.

I think the reverb would've made your voice sound a lot colder; the current tone gives the android just enough humanity for the audio imo. Looks like I'll have to nerd out next weekend trying to replicate that excellent android sound haha. 🤓

You're welcome! I spend a lot of time fiddling with the audio for each video, and am always trying to figure out how to create new and exciting experiences for listeners, so I'm quite happy to explain some of how it works "behind the scenes" so to speak. For android voices in general, there are quite a few different ways to do it, such as frequency filters to create a "walkie-talkie" sound, chorus effects for that "metal tubes" sound, reverb for "hollowness", and autotuning for more "computery" sounds. Another neat trick for preserving the "human-ness" is to layer together an un-processed voice on top of a processed voice, so that the subtleties of pronunciation can be preserved.

I love that you try to create awesome and fresh experiences for your listeners; I try to do the same by layering together SFX/ambience and putting together stories, but I don't edit my voice that much because I'm never quite sure how is best! Layering a processed voice onto the unprocessed one is massive brain. I didn't even think about that. 🤯 What software do you use for audio editing? You also sound really familiar with all this stuff; did you do audio engineering before this channel, or was this channel the first time you've experimented with it?
