Just so we're clear, Cassper did not claim to be the Drake of South Africa nor did he intentionally compare himself to Drake. What he asked was: who is the biggest rapper in the US, to which Charlemagne responded; Drake, Cassper then followed by saying: I am that in South Africa, the first name which comes to mind (paraphrasing). What he meant was when asked who is the biggest rapper in SA he is the first name that comes to mind. Y'all just be trying to start some sh*t.

May I perhaps help you a bit. I know Casper because of I'm from Eswatini. But to merely state that everyone should know him, that's being misguided. Not every African person should know him. We are not robots or a homogenous group that listen to the same music. Casper Nyovest should have avoided sounding like he is the best rapper in Africa.

African Renaissance It's not tearing down. There had always been rivalry between African nations. It starts in jest, some people take it too far, but don't get it twisted we all good. No one be tripping when a RedSox and a Yankee fan exchange insults because they understand. From any good competition/rivalry comes greatness. Africans we get this. It's all good here.

I'm nigerian i know casper is really big in SA and the whole region. I also know other SA guys like HHP, emtee, Nasty C, DJ Maphorisa, AKA etc. For me Nigerian music is top right now... buh the south africans are way ahead when it comes to hip hop right now. NB: most artists in africa are big in their respective countries and regions. I feel you are big in Africa if you can sell out a big venue anywhere on the continent. I know the legendary SA artists did that while Wizkid, Davido, Psquare are selling out football stadia across the continent. Those are the people i'll say are big on the continent and not just in their countries.

No need to insult each other though because of geographical locations, boarders were made by Europeans not Africans, Africa would be the greatest country on Earth if they didn't exist, its funny how we have accepted white supremacist Ideologies and used them against ourselves . Regardless of which part of Africa he comes from we should all be proud and we should support him.

Can you think of this. Dont only think Africa was the only place were countries were tooken rule of. Even in European countries, big countries would annex other European regions so this wasnt only an African thing And Africans themselves liked to place out land or their restrictions. Example Shaka Zulu had his own land so that was his kingdom. And then they were other kingdoms. Its a confusing concept to explain but Africa as one country would be a mess And now take in mind how corrupt African presidents are so imagine how big of a problem it would be if there was a corrupt president controlling billions of people and millions of land
