These young people have no idea how big these guys were. They had their own style, hit records, movies, and dance moves that everyone knew. They transcended all ages, races, and creeds. And yet they did it all without having to curse, being derogatory towards women, or violent. No matter how young or old you were, you could enjoy Kid N Play!

Kid is so nice. I met him in a club in L.A. a few years ago. He was at a table with bottle service surrounded by a group of women wanted their glasses filled. I was with a group of friends getting shots at the bar (2 guys and 2 girls). My guy friend bugged out when he saw him and he went over to greet him. He left his table to greet us so kindly. My friend whispered I wonder if he would do the dance. So I said it out loud to kid and he grabbed my guy friend and did the kid n play. That was the best moment of the night. He's so cool!

Say what you want but these guys put it down for the culture . They showed that you could have fun with out cursing ,guns ,drugs in your raps and they weren't corny . They carved themselves a piece in hip hop history and for that ,they should be respected . Majority of your favorite rappers aren't the image they portray . These guys never fronted .

But he got kicked out of 5 high schools. something about that doesn’t seem like something a down to earth person would have created for themselves; he’s more like off the chain. Granted we all mature eventually, but I don’t think he was quite matured yet when he went to your college (he said he became Chris Martin at age 40). :P

I met Play by accident in 1993. I worked at the Atlanta Airport Embassy suites overnight as a maintenance man and he sat in the lobby while someone was checking him into a room. I remember him looking like a lost soul. We did not speak but i prayed for him internally.

House Party is a Classic, i can always watch that movie when its on, never gets old, and i think what Play said went over everybody's head or they're taught to ignore real topics, He said you can have everything under the sun and still not be happy, and until he accepted God is when his happiness came, good on Play
